You guys think Murphy was that bad? He can shoot and is big. Could thrive playing with Howard..

Sacre is big too, but raw

I'll take Murphy because he still has a shot that could potentially come in handy. Whenever an American big goes 60 in the draft, it's never a good sign.

Doesn't matter, neither will play this year. But I don't see a point in giving Murphy another opportunity to wear purple and gold. He stunk it up last year.

Murphy wasn't coming back anyway, sacre MIGHT be on the active roster to start the season until D12 gets right, but after that i fully expect sacre and DJO to be relegated to the defenders for a majority of the season

People are really talking about Troy Murphy? After last year? Hell big period. We have 4 bigs on this team with 4 of them capable of starting. Not really understanding the overkill here.

Neither of them would play significant minutes. I'd go with Sacre, need someone there for practices.

Besides, Earl Clark would play over these guys.

Never say never :)

Woody Sauldsbury #60
Dale Schlueter #63
Phil Jordan #64
Bill Laimbeer #65
Jim Fox #67
Wil Jones #69
Mark Eaton #72
James Donaldson #73
Paul Griffen #74
Chris Dudley #75
Jack Haley #79
George Johnson #79
Ed Manning #80
Don Ford #92
Billy Paultz #103
Artis Gilmore #117
Pete Meyers #120
Dan Issel #122
Tim Kempton #124
Harvey Catchings #138
Ken Banniser #156
Charles Jones #165

Obviously, Issel and Gilmore are special cases - each committed to the ABA Kentucky Colonels out of College - but I'd settle for a Bill Laimbeer, a Mark Eaton, a Billy Paultz, a Harvey Catchings, a George Johnson, a James Donaldson, any of the Jones Brothers or certainly a Jim Fox (for those too young to remember, Fox was a South Carolina All American, how had a decade long NBA career, that included 3 "double-Double" seasons - with a best of 14pts 13rebs for the Suns)....

You forgot to add Manu Ginobili, Dražen Petrović and Isaiah Thomas.

At this point in each of their careers, give me Sacre. He's big, young, athletic, can rebound, solid d, can make free throws, and is an energy guy. We don't need him to become a star or 6th man. Just a good, serviceable, cheap, 3rd-string center.

I think Sacre has some potential - see no problem with him bouncing to the D-Fenders as an insurance policy against an injury to one of the bigs. Kinda reminds me of a poor-mans James Edwards (hey, Buddah had 13 double digit scoring seasons in his 19 NBA seasons!).

Earl Clark played center for the Magic alot! I suspect him to do the same for the Lakers. So Sacre might not be on the team.

Troy was utterly terrible this past year - dude scared me. I used to love him in his Warrior's days.
