Fans beef with MWP/Ron Artest

I've noticed on this board alot of disdain for this guy. What is ur issue with him if you have one? I know he came on late in the season but it seems as if those issues were valid due to how much his production shot up. I think it shows the level of bball IQ of some LA fans when they say they would rather have Devin Ebanks of all people starting over Ron Artest. We can even probably find posters that were wanting to bench him and sign CJ Miles LOLOL or amnesty him....thoughts?

Don't you watch games at all? I mean, he mostly sucks. Of course he's had good and also great games, where we've won because of him, but most of the time he's more of a disadvantage than advantage. I'm giving him one more try for this year as he claims he is in a good form, but the question stands why he wasn't in a form last year. A true professional doesn't let him self go like that. He's not so bad and possibly works very well with our other starting 5 this year, but if he starts f'n up, I think, it's time to give some time for Ebanks.

I've never seen ron artest as a disadvantage on the court. ever...he's the only dude that comes out to play in the playoffs

Honestly think MWP is the odd man out. His D would be invaluable off the bench, but as our starter, he's probably a ball killer.

He has a lazy demeanor when he is not guarding someone that's not a premier player and you know that one open dunk he missed against the Mavs underlined our "slow" and "old" tag over the past couple of seasons.

So you are just going to negate the fact he had back issues. Did you see him play post all star break all the way through the playoffs this year?

If you have back issues for 2 seasons running, you need to be moving to Florida and eating dinner at 6PM.

It'll be interesting to see what we get from Peace heading into this season. If his back issues are indeed resolved he could have one of his best years with us.

Dude is at 225 and started to show some explosion coming down the stretch, I think Ron get's back close to Pacer Artest but better than 2010 Laker Artest. Anything Metta gives is just gravy, if guys can't see this they need brain surgery quick.

My issue with Artest is that he could have been twice the player that he is. Guy is that gifted. He's just mentally weak. I always have high hopes whenever players come along who can make that type of impact on defense.

I have no issue w/ Indiana Ron. Kobe doesn't either. That speaks volumes about Ron.
MWPeace sucks so much to Indiana Ron. If Ron is training than we are good. If he is fat and waiting until October to get started I have a big problem w/ it.
But Ron will try to shine w/ this squad so I think we will see the best he has. Ron also does really good after doing something really stupid (like the Harden thing) Ron will want to make it up to us fans.

His offence makes me cringe everytime, but he does always bring effort on D when facing good players which is the reason he is in the lineup.
Hopefully with Nash, Howard he will take fewer bad shots and this year picking it up where he left off from last year and improving.
There is only a handful of guys I would prefer guarding the likes of Lebron, Durant over MWP and we are not getting those so.... I am cool with MWP

If it's gonna be like that then you might as well call him the worst player in the league.

We may as well let it go. If they cant see that he is can still be an asset after the way he played the latter half of last season after clearly getting into shape I dont have the will to argue lol

well if the princeton works, we'll see a lot more world peace dunking on back door plays instead of catching and shooting corner threes instead

That would be nice to see, but I'm going with the realistic approach. Artest struggles with "read and react" offensive schemes. Just be happy if he doesn't break the system in order to isolate.

I'll take anything more than not dribbling the ball out of bounds off his legs a major win. He just looks special on offense.
