I'm sure he'll be living off his brothers' fame. He'll have the decision to go to his millionaire brother's house in Memphis or he'll have the option to go to his filthy rich millionaire brother's house in Los Angeles.

Must be nice to be the youngest Gasol.

I heard that he wasn't as skilled as the other Gasol's. How tall is he? Apparently they are all very intelligent. I read that Pau was going to medical school and chose the NBA instead. I mean who can blame him, but to have those two choices in your hands is amazing.
nvm just read the article.
BTW he is better looking Gasol out of all three of them. Just saying no-homo!

6-10, skinny, injury prone, low basketball IQ, oh he'll be great as a scrub on UCLA.

you act like most big man in the NBA are rocket scientist...

If he hits the weights hard, I'm sure he is intelligent...

He could learn BBall IQ.. I'm sure he has good hands like his brothers. He will likely be a 3-4 year player at UCLA... I could see his becoming worse case Robin Lopez best case another great Gasol

He's paying his own way through school and that's how he made the team.

But yeah go on and say his worst case is a decent NBA big.

How in the world? Did this kid even play when he was living in Memphis? I dont remember reading anything remotely saying he was slightest interested in playing basketball. Heard he was on the playground around town and up at University of Memphis playing pick up but nothing like team ball.

Anyone in Memphis know something we missed? I've been following this kid for a while back when he was spotted at Pau first couple of practices with the Lakers.

The article says he's a walk-on. That right there should tell you there's almost no chance that he'll be half as good as Marc.

From what I know, he is a big big nerd and started to play basketball very late (like 3-4 years ago).

I'm pretty sure everyone thought Marc Gasol was going to suck too..this family has bball genes in them. Not saying he's going to be a force, but i wouldn't be surprised if he turned out good.

^^^^^
Well said.

Plus now that he'll be living in L.A it wouldn't surprise me if Pau works with him during his off time.
I mean it is his baby bro. Why wouldn't he want to see him succeed?

Add a strength coach, possibly Dwight helping him out in that department???
Shoot Dwight might even help out Pau in that field as well lol.

Marc had potential. That is why the Lakers decided to get the rights to him.

Anyone in Memphis know something we missed? I've been following this kid for a while back when he was spotted at Pau first couple of practices with the Lakers.

He started playing organized ball in HS when he was 12 but suffered a severe knee injury 3 years ago that took him a while to recover.
Last season he played in Spain in the 5th or 6th division, and according to some people who saw him wasnt exactly dominant.
All we know is that the guy has good genes, is very tall and might still grow a few inches, so who knows, maybe he can become a a balller but i wouldn't put much tock into it.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.
