Lakers unofficial projected depth chart

C: Howard, Hill
PF: Gasol, Jamison
SF: MWP, Ebanks, Clark
SG: Kobe, Meeks
PG: Nash, Blake, Duhon, Morris

People say Duhon may not be on the team. However he might push Blake. Blake is below average defender, can't create and scared out there most the time. If Duhon plays with Heart, and can shoot(shot 42 percent from three) also career high of 22 assists. I hear he got fat and go caught up in the night life. Maybe just maybe having a chance at a title will light a fire and we can see the Duke Duhon I remember.

We also have 3 guys on the cusp of making the roster
Glock- a tweener, showed promise as a rookie, can't really defend tho, Mike Brown don't like him

Odom Johnson- looked horrible in summer league, like just a dude, maybe playing against with guys that give him open looks might make him look better, suppose to be a decent shooter. Could be useful as a defender if he can guard NBA guys

Sacre- big body, a bit raw but Jimmy loves him  .. Could be a good practice player for Dwight!

who do you guys seeing making the roster as the 14th and 15th man

Sacre I can confidently say has a chance, between Odom/Glock its a toss up but wouldn't surprise me if both are dropped in favor of leaving a spot open for a potential addition later on in the year. Its to bad we resigned Morris so early, dont think he's deserving of a spot either.

Yes Morris should be our 15th man, carry Nash bags and work on some dance moves...

I still wouldn't be mad if we signed a sniper
Webster, T Will, Michael Redd, Arenas, Tmac

I'd take Glock and Sacre. Wish we hadn't signed Morris because he is garbage

I like Glock as long as he's been working on his defense, DJO is really athletic and strong but he had a really bad summer league and I like Sacre....kind of....he gets blocked alot but he's tough and he plays defense so out of those guys I would probably keep Glock and Sacre, I would have gone with DJO for the sick dunks but I would hate to see Glock using that teardrop for another team and especially against us

Goudelock had an equally as awful summer as DJO. Id take DJO over him off of athletic potential alone. Never understood the love for Goudelock amongst Laker fans.

Sacre seems to have loads of potential for me. any player that plays basic/fundamental ball has a big edge for me. his jump hooks look sweet so as his midrange game and he also plays tough.

DJO intrigues me because of the highlights.

Mostly hype that he's a shooter, being labeled Mini-Mamba, and Blake sucking. Also, people tend to want something that they can't have. So Coach Potato Head not playing Goudelock added to that. I'm sure if Goudelock had a chance to play more even in garbage time, that should have been enough to gauge where his talents at, but Brown sucks at rotations and dishing out minutes.

Sacre and Odom.. flip Glock to dump Duhon.. I'm sure there's some team that will take a flier on Duhon to develop Glock..

Why not just keep Duhon and let him battle for the backup PG position with Blake? Neither are great but Duhon still has a bit of ability to play the backup PG. Just let it play out. Its not like anybody is lined up to take Goudelock, Blake or Duhon anyways. I know the Dwight and Nash trades got alot of us hyped but just be realistic. No one is interested in Goudelock but LA fans thinking he can be more than what he is which is a scrub.

I hope Goudelock, but fear he will be cut. In my eyes, he can be one of the better shooters if he is legitimately open. If we let him go, it'll be Gerald Green 2.0.

I doubt this and would bet every dime I have. Gerald Green actually had raw talent to begin with. Goudelock has a good jumpshot but nothing much else. Poor athleticism for a small guy, cant defend and cant play the PG position.

Give me Sacre and DJO(more variables to his game than Glock)

Goudelock is an NBA player.

Problem is, he has to be in the perfect situation to prosper.

He needs to play SG, but in order for him to play SG he has to play alongside a very tall PG.

The Lakers don't have two oversized PGs for him to play with and Goudelock CANNOT check 75% of the league's SGs, so he's kind of deadweight (especially with the addition of J-Odom, who, although also being short, I believe CAN guard the majority of NBA SGs).

But all of that is nothing new.

The real question for me: Is Darius Morris' contract guaranteed? and How much of Goudelock's contract is guaranteed?

hoping we drop at Morris too, find a way to and add Bill Walker in the event Artest has off nights and or Ebanks doesn't improve his shooting. Walker is a career 40% 3pt shooter and this is with him taking alot of em per game, we're not talking bout 1 or 2 att. here.

Invite them all to camp. Then decide.

goudelock would flourish next to nash

i have a good feeling that the lakers will occasionally play kobe at the 3 and allow whoever has the hot hand (meeks/goudelock) to play alongside nash

I seriously doubt Goudelock sees any playing time with Nash. Hell most teams only run a 8-9 man rotation to begin with. Where is he going to see PG or wing minutes after Kobe, Nash, Ebanks, Meeks, MWP, Blake and Duhon in the mix?
