http://www.nba.com/lakers/120913_howard_injury_updateThe Lakers training staff, led by head trainer Gary Vitti and head physical therapist Dr. Judy Seto, have recently been integrated into newly acquired center Dwight Howard's rehabilitation from back surgery in April.
Howard has begun working with Vitti's staff while continuing to work alongside his personal trainer, Bryan Meyer. Howard's rehabilitation has been going well, according to Lakers officials, and there have been no setbacks up to this point.
The physical therapy that the six-time All-Star is doing consists of core stabilization, upper and lower body strengthening, light running and shooting.
The team is not giving a timetable for Howard's return to the court at this point. However, they have stated that he will not be ready for the start of training camp or the beginning of the preseason schedule starting on Oct. 7 against Golden State in Fresno.

Get well Dwight. Practice on free throws and take your time. We will be fine for a couple of games. Good think that this isn't a short season.

not surprising. just happy that there have been no setbacks. we have a very light schedule at the start of the year so there really should not been any crazy rush to get him out. put him out when hes ready. if that means christmas than christmas, if that means opening day than opening day

I just hope he's ready by Nov. 21st when they come here to Sacramento. I gotta see this guy in action.
