Do the Lakers still have their MLE?

Post#1 » by Soulsphere » Tue Sep 18, 2012 12:06 pm

I somewhat recall we still have most of our MLE left. Can anyone confirm? I think we need a good size athletic SF that can knock the 3. Having great defense too is a plus. Really wish we tried harder to get Dorell Wright. 76ers got him for a bag of jelly beans. I'm guessing the Lakers didn't try harder because they didn't want to jeprodize the Dwight Howard deal so that was holding a lot of things up. So what can the Lakers do? Having a shot at Beasley last year for Steve Blake would have been epic.

Any thoughts if we have the MLE and who to use it on? It would be a shame to waste it on Barbosa.

I believe we used part of the mini mid level.
We do not have the mid level exception.

Last year we wasted on mcbob(mmle) and that was pretty much horrible.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

My guess is that they're gonna wait until at least February/march to see what the landscape of our roster will look like before using it.

Yea LA's roster is pretty much set. They are probably just going to sit on that amount for a midseason signing if needed.
