I like Jalen Rose and I'm sure he did all he could (anything he can do without getting caught) to try to win, but this is off-topic, this is just another proof that the lakers needed Kobe in their championship runs. Even in 2000. Kobe was totally instrumental and the three rings are as much as his as it is for Shaq, maybe more so his in 2002.

No respect for the game. I get pissed when I'm playing against clumsy guys that injure me playing pick up ball. If i knew a guy intentionally injured me in a league game or a championship game I'd come after them. I got no respect for Jalen Rose now.

exactly. thats why it really bothers me that there seems to be this overlying thought that he had no say in any of the titles from 2000-2002

i seriously doubt anyone with the brain actually argues that kobe wasn't needed or that he had no say.

I don't thinks that's what the GB haters club argue, they claim any superstar could have replaced Kobe in those 3 peat series and still win, Tmac, Iverson, etc. Shaq on the other hand was not replaceable they claim.

I listened to this Jalen Rose podcast the other day and tripped out. LOL now it makes sense why Kobe dropped 81 on him when he was with the Raptors .

Just not Penny, Eddie Jones, Nash, LeBron or the big 4. Shaq lost with all those other guys. Shaq would have lost with Wade too if Shaq didn't take a back seat and the Heat didn't steal Zo, Payton, WhiteChoc and Walker.

I just don't get why in June of 2004 Shaq wasn't ready to give up alpha male status but in October of 2005 he was. Shaq would have got a lot more than 1 more ring w/ Kobe if he did.

You got to know there are tons of kobehaters out there who try to invalidate Kobe's first set of rings. Dont tell me you dont know!
