Kobe decides against knee surgery

Kobe never went to Germany to get the knee surgery this summer as reported. Think this says a lot about journalism and reporting in today's era of sports. People are so quick to report things that may not have even happened yet. Because I remember it was reported Kobe had the procedure done before the Olympics (then I remember reading somewhere he had it done after). No biggie but how do you guys feel about Bean passing up the opportunity to get the surgery done again? Think it's a mistake or not?

It's hard to tell without being the actual doctors, but I'm sure they went through all of the tests and such to determine if it was actually necessary. Doubt it was a mistake!

I have no problem with Kobe not having the procedure. I think he is in shape for this season due tot the Olympics, as he himself confirmed. He has the help he needs this season to succeed.

I thought the media reports were that he had the procedure before the start of last season. Where did it say he had it done again this summer?
