Tyreke Evans

Wondering what you guys think of LA possibly pursuing Evans after this year. High possibility he will be traded but if he hits the market I think LA should try to scoop him with the MMLE if possible. He is on the bubble like Beasley was and this could be a chance for him to expand his game with real vets. Thoughts....

If Beasley got more than the MMLE I can't imagine Tyreke getting that

Let's keep it realistic here

Tyreke will likely get Ibaka money tbh.

Key word if possible and Reke is a combo guard his value is lower. Not saying its a go but with players like Mayo and Lou Williams only getting 5 mil a guard that has underachieved since his rookie year like Reke isnt a long shot from only getting 3 million.

he was still averaging 17/5/5 per 36 min at 23 on a team loaded with shoot first players. Not really comparable to Mayo or Lou Williams. His rookie season was also far better any year those two ever had.

I agree but I never suggested we trade for him only if he could be attained with the MMLE should we bite. I explained in the previous post why I think he could be at that value based on his issues and combo guards that are not good shooters arent exactly coveted at a high price

Hey if Mitch and Jim can work a deal for him I'm all for it. Especially because of his youth and ability to learn from Nash. But I could see the ESPN headline now "LAKERS ARE CHEATING LMAOOOOO" Small Market teams are in awe over Evans landing in LA for a package of Steve Blake and Ebanks lol

Lmao, then we would also hear about every negative aspect of his game too. Dude is on the bubble tho.

He is big time because he's not a franchise player. Not a #1 or even #2 player on a contending team IMO.

And lets not forget the Maloof brothers are having some big time financial issues

They have a nice crop of young players though which should further push them to relocate the franchise.

Any real young player would always be a nice addition. But the price would be way out of the Lakers abilitly to do much. But who thought D12 would be here..So you really never know... :D

No way the kings throw LAL a bone and let him walk to LA for the mMLE. There's no way he gets less than the full MLE.

Not going to happen but he would be nice off the bench as a 6th man and 1st guard/combo guard off the bench.

I dont think the Kings have any interest in retaining him unless he elevates his game this year, but the competition would probably come from other teams looking for a young stud.

The grand delusion that Tyreke will even have to settle for the MMLE is unbelievable, especially when there are teams out there with a gaping hole at SG and assets to either make a trade or cap space to sign him outright.

It doesn't matter, the Kings would not let him walk to LAL for $3.090 million (and I would guess, no matter SacTown's opinion is on him that they will not let him go to anyone for a mini MLE contract).

What is there to possibly make you think that Tyreke is worth $2 million less than the league average? Note the 45% FG% on a pretty abysmal Kings team.

Unless something dramatically changes between Evans and the kings he'll be restricted with a 6m qualifying offer the Lakers can't even bid for him without some kind of trade.
