pure speculation from me at this point, but by watching the pre-season games thus far...

does anyone else think that now that we have dwight available, there's a world of difference in the quality of screens that absolutely frees up space for nash and kobe to exploit?

ditto for MWP, if he set damaging screens for kobe and nash on the perimeter, defences would be instantly be in giant trouble every single time they ran a screen and roll, off-ball screen play through MWP or dwight

thoughts?

That Kobe-Pau pnr seems more and more extinct now a days though, that was our bread and butter for the repeat championships but yeah Dwight's presence is just amazing for Kobe/Nash and vice-versa.

To take the comment about Pau a bit further... After the question about how Nash is going to adapt to his new situation, I've got how Pau adapts to and figures out how to compliment Dwight, as my second biggest concern for this season...
We all saw that Bynum/Pau had no flow and just didn't seem to work... It was like an either/or scenario with those two...
And from what I saw in the game last night, that was still the case to a large extent, with Howard... But it did seem like there was more of a mutual respect there, and Howard is more of a natural leader on the court, so I'm optimistic...

But yeah, Pau needs to figure out what he can bring to this team, including screens, pnr, assists, spacing, whatever...

If he can, we'll have the best front court in a very long time if not ever... If he can't, we'll have Dwight and Pau... Each effective in their own way, but not so much a dominant force.

Agreed... Just trying to stay positive.

ive sort of stopped waiting for pau to get nasty on setting screens and clearing space, he's just not that sort of player.

i just wish i could see more of this bad from dwight, metta and kobe the same way KG and perkins did for boston
