Mavs To Waive West
He's a headcase I know. But he is a 2 way guard that we BADLY need.

LA should bite on this. He is great in PnR too. I know duke is a headcase but supposedly had great report with Brown.

wouldn't mind either way. think he'd obviously be a nice help, but would understand if its just not in the fold for whatever reason.

If he's F'ing up in the Mavs locker room, how in hell do you think he'a all of a sudden going to turn into an angel?
Dude has screws loose up stairs.......let'em rot once he realizes he messed up, nobody should pick him up.

Thank you.
Metta wasn't getting suspended 3-4 times on various teams for conduct detrimental to the team behind the scenes.
Not even Delonte's fault, dude actually has mental problems.. but he's not a good locker room guy. No on him.

Re: Mavs To Waive West
you'll complain about the bench still being an issue, yet when an opportunity comes along to improve the bench it should be disregarded because he's a detriment. yet in this case it's a clear high reward/low risk move. beggers can't be choosers, there isn't that much to choose from at this point. and every time we sign someone of risk like this the mantra of this board is that kobe will keep them in check, why doesn't it apply in this case? he'd be a vet min signing with the talents of a mle player, i'll take it.
pls take your phds in armchair psychology off the fireplace mantle and realize this guy can help more than hurt.
yeah, because he was too busy getting suspended 7 games for elbowing a player in the head and following that up by sizing up ibaka.

Get rid of Metta too then.. your point?
We don't need a dude with bipolar disorder who just got suspended twice in the last couple weeks by his own team.

metta's a headcase yet still here because he has at least something to offer the team, west should be in the same category, that's the point. especially with the bench being inept as it is. and as long as he hasn't broken any laws that would require jail time and thus not being able to play, and at least makes an attempt to fit in and make it work for a season, idc what he's done. he's a vet min signing, it doesn't work out then do what dallas just did and cut him.

It would be funny if West ends up coming and we somehow turn him into a sixth man.
U MAD Dallas?

Yep. Let's just stick with Blake and Duhon. I don't care if they contribute nothin. At least they're not a headcase like Delonte. Right, dogg?

how does anyone not want to pick up West? 'locker-room issues' are way overblown. you really think Steve Nash, Dwight Howard or Kobe Bryant give a **** about Delonte West..? what could he do that would be damaging to team morale? worse case scenario, you cut him.
low risk, high reward move. reallllllllllllly hope we pick him up. would be tremendous addition to this team, and probably our best two-way bench player.

Exactly and what people dont understand is that guys like West and Metta thrive in competitive environments. This is the same West that spoke up (according to Shaq) to Brown about letting Lebron get a pass in practice. West was also high on Mike Brown and was close to being signed last year by LA. Unlike other combo guards like Barbosa that guys were swooning over he can actually play the point and play decent D against guys like Westbrook and CP3 which we will need badly.
