Pacers already have David West and Roy Hibbert. If Pau doesn't wanna comme off the bench here. I don't see it happening there.

Chris Duhon+cash or draft rights to one of our obscure foreign prospects for Raja Bell.

Why for Lakers? Get a hard-nosed veteran defender who has been a consistent 40+% 3 shooter over most of his career. Played well under MDA and with Nash. Is an expiring contract who will probably resign for the minimum if we choose to retain him.

Why for Jazz? Bell isn't playing for them so at least they get something back for him. That's it lol.

Having Raja Bell would be nice but if my memory serves me correct he had a chance to play for the Lakers before and passed. This due to his supposed beef with Kobe dating back to the Lakers vs Suns playoff series in '06.

im pretty sure before Raja signed something like a 3 year/10 million deal with Utah that offseason, Kobe took him out to dinner to try and bring him in to LA.

Kobe likes those kind of players who had beef with him; MWP, Barnes, ..Raja..

That dinner between Bell and Kobe never happened because moments before Bell agreed to sign with Utah.

Danny Granger could happen. Something that gets a SG to Indiana, Granger to L.A, and Gasol to Charlotte.

Ben Gordon to Indy
Granger to L.A.
Gasol to Charlotte

Base it on that.

Granger comes in healthy later in the year giving L.A. a legitimate SF, putting Clark in at PF. It drops the two biggest problems in the starting lineup for solutions.

Jazz Fan here who keeps wishing we trade for Gasol... I think Utah is the perfect landing spot for him and for his game.

I am willing to part with Millsap/Marvin (perimeter D), Raja for Gasol and future 1st.

Any takers... I feel it is actually very fair value.

I would make this move in a heartbeat depending on what it's going to cost to keep Millsap going forward. If his contract is good enough that he will always be tradable then I'd jump at the deal.

i think if millsap was available for a gasol trade, that wouldve happened long ago. no way the jazz give him up for an older more expensive gasol unless they are moving on al jeff too.

MN to LA ... LA takes on smaller (though effective) pieces
Derrick Williams - F
Nicola Pekovic - C
JJ Barea - PG
Brandon Roy (exp. contract)

LA to MN ... MN gambles
Dwight Howard

why noy just trade Gasol for Stoudemire

He thrived w/ Nash and Dantioni

would probably help both teams.

We are not getting Lebron. this whole 2014 thing is bs. Stoudemire would be in the same position that Gasol is. He is not a stretch 4. In D'antonis offense he was the center.

LA out- Gasol
LA in - J. Smith, Marvin Williams, Raja Bell

ATL out - J Smith
ATL in - Al Jeff

Utah out - Al Jeff, Marv, Bell
Utah in - Gasol

I know J Smith isn't ideal but he wants to win bad and defends. Him and Clark in the rotation plus those other guys would solve our depth and athleticism issues without taking on salary risk...

Lets stop this josh smith to La now. La is not bending backwards for any player including Dwight. In order to keep Dwight, josh will also need to be signed to a long term deal. No way does LA blow 15M per year on smith.
