Now that you hired D'Antoni and have Nash, what do you think about a Gasol/Amare trade now? Would make you guys more of a running team and with Howard behind him, it would neutralize Amare's defensive issues. He could run with Nash and Kobe as well as use his quickness for steals. Seems to me he'd be a better fit for you guys. I know that the Knicks would like to get rid of him. Just curious what Lakers fan think.

Gasol is far more reliable than Amare in every possible way now. We just dumped our biggest health concern and no way we pick up another.

uninsured, injured, long term deal that destroys any planned cap flexibility in 2014, worst defensive big in the league.

doesn't sound too appealing.

More needs to be offered including Iman Shumpert and Steve Novak and in return you take Steve Blake or Chris Duhon's contract.

NO. Amare is a high maintenance player while Gasol is low maintenance.

We have Howard for the Pick and Roll with Nash. No need for Amare here.

What's with Knicks fans and assuming we'll take Amare? We're not gonna take Amare. Convincing yourself or Laker posters will not make it happen. Amare has a massive uninsured contract while being worse than Gasol. On top of that you can't make the argument we're gonna take him now since we have Pringles. D12 is playing the roll man role, Amare would be redundant.

If we were to trade Pau, it would be for a stretch 4 and a defensive 3 who can shoot. Not a crappier Dwight.

LOL, I wouldn't trade Ron Craptest for Amar'e let alone pau.

Nobody will trade for Amar'e, 'bockers. Deal with it.

Millsap, Marvin Williams, Raja Bell for Gasol

UTAH OUT: Millsap, Marvin, Raja Bell
UTAH IN: Pau Gasol

LA OUT: Pau Gasol
LA IN: Millsap, Marvin, Raja Bell

We would be open to adding our own first rounder (not the GSW pick), or Randy Foye instead of Bell if so desired.

Thoughts?

I think this give you guys serious depth and the players would fit well into D'Antoni's offense. All can shoot and are athletic.

Called something similar. It's a good deal. I don't know if they'll do it just yet.

This is the worst idea I've heard since someone suggested hiring Mike Brown

Why are the Jazz doing this deal, what's good for them?

I would take this deal 100 times, it's like the perfect deal for us. I just don't see Utah doing it unless you know they're high on Pau or something

Utah management must be on crack to do this deal
