Are we running D'Antoni's system?

Did not watch the past 2 games where we put up high numbers, only able to following the play-by-play box scores.
Can any one shed some light if we are running D'Antoni's system? Or are still playing "free-style" ball?

A lot of free style but we are making a conscious effort to get into the pick n roll on almost every possession. We are still getting by on the brilliance of Kobe in orchestrating the offense and making the team tick.

I think they are running a few sets of Dan Tony system, but basically are playing street ball. Luckily this team is talented and have experience to push through this. Dan Tony system will take a little time to get down. They have played against 2 teams that like to run and gun also.

We are running a few sets of the system, not fully yet at the time though, Mike said he doesn't want to jam it in their throats too soon but he did implement some sets. Team is looking great, with all the talent we have there was no reason for Mike Clown to hold it back, so glad he is gone, Lakers are once again fun to watch.

Nice to hear that we are running PnRs more consistently.
Seems like Pau got his mid range stroke back too. He's been hitting at a pretty high clip the past 2 games.

Almost every coach has a few triangle sets in their arsenal.

Spacing has been very good, which I think is a big emphasis of D'antoni- that is probably not a coincidence.

He keeps getting wide open jumpers from 18-20. He's skilled enough that if this continues, I think he will get more and more comfortable with that shot. Especially since a lot of times it is from the same exact spot on the floor.

This is definitely true
I saw Kobe feed him like 4 times at exactly the top of the key (behind FT line) the other night, and as Bill put it, it was "CASH, MONEY, ATM"

Mike Dan Tony running practice today transcript.
00:11:30 Gimme two. Gimme two outside. Get it up there. You can't score if you don't shoot!
00:11:34 Shoot from outside! Quit throwing it around! Get it in the hole!
(Phil Jackson walks in)
00:11:39 Oh, there you are. I thought we'd go 20 minutes on, 10 off and 20 on.

that's jumpshot needs to become money
very much the same as how chris bosh has become for miami, his midrange jumper is just wet now
and pau will be given that shot every time, less teams leave dwight howard on an island under the basket

I think its safe to say Meeks may be as bad as Philly fans projected. Dantoni's "system" is more of a philosophy than an actual system. Players this talented are too good to be subjected to a system. I really hope they take a shot at West for Meeks spot. Dude cant even knock down the open jumpers and is horrible at everything else.

How many points are the Lakers losing while 24 isn't in the game? I feel like it's a good 10 points without exaggeration on differential.

Ortg with Kobe on the court:115.5(363 mins)
Ortg with Kobe off the court: 89.0(117 mins)
Opponents
Ortg with Kobe on the court:100.1
Ortg with Kobe off the court:113.8
http://www.basketball-reference.com/tea ... 13/on-off/Yeah,our bench sucks
Pau's on/off's are very good too...not suprised, him and Kobe play alot together at the same time
I believe it wasn't updated yet...this is after 10 games
Kobe's at +/- 130 after 11 games(this stat can be deceptive sometimes though....)...that's roughly +11.8 on average(the team's point differential being + 5.0 until now)

The reports last week said he'll probably miss this week and the two back to backs....now,apparently he'll be reevaluated again on Friday but there is no offcial timetable for his return
Just to not risk anything, let him rest until next weekend at the earliest since we have only 2 games next week(Nuggets and Indiana)...

This is team is already playing worlds better, I cant wait to see Nash and Blake back in the rotation. The more shooters the better
