Have no idea how we're going to get both of these guys when we have no open roster. Unless we trade clark for raja and then get pietrus some how.

we must have a dump deal all but lined up (or anticipating one) if we're actively going after swings.

Not sure how Pietrus really helps us.

He's not a particularly good outside shooter and defensively he's no better than Ebanks.

We need guys that can create, shoot the hell out of the ball, and/or play great defense. He does none of those things.

Mickael Pietrus is a really good 3 point shooter. In this video the announcer says "he owns the corner 3" I think this guy can really help us with our 3 point deficiencies.

Yeah, I remember watching that before he came to the Celtics. Man was that a let down. He's never going to be back on that level but I'm more than sure he can give you guys some quality minutes, albeit very few at this point.

If you get Pietrus you have a ten men rotation. It's not easy to pull that off but honestly, I've never seen a team so stacked struggle so much. In 2004 the Laker backups were terrible but this time around, Hill-Jamison-Meeks-Duhon have all shown signs of being solid bench players.

Mitch really put together a heck of a roster and if he gets Pietrus he's done even better.

hes got talent but hes very streaky. probably because of his low bball iq. he kinda reminds me of mo evans.

sign him. we need an athletic guard that can stay in front of the quick pgs and sgs. if he adds something on the offensive end lets just consider that a bonus. he's an improvement over our sgs and sfs on the bench thats for sure.

Pau looks so much stronger and fierce in this video. Now he looks like a big sad blob on the court...

Pietrus would be a good addition to the Laker bench. As others have noted, he's streaky, but that's ok for a bench player. If his shot is off, he can be replaced. Pietrus plays hard and can defend.

Problem is that he's lost some of his athleticism. He's had chronic knee problems. They used to call him "Air France" but now he's more like the Concorde.

Dude is hella injury prone, isn't great at anything, can't create his own offense and where does he get minutes?

LOL once the lakers acquire Pietrus. their hopes of winning a ring this year are gone.
Pietrus curse.

torn. didn't Ebanks show his improved offense?

the good thing about FO pursuing a wing is that they now realize Jamison should be a 4.

the good thing about FO pursuing a wing is that they now realize solving our perimeter defensive problems is hopeless

fixed.

right now the lakers don't have the personnel to solving the defensive problems on the perimeter.

lets look at our starters:
nash is old.
kobe is old, he can still play D but hes lazy.
artest is good against player his size but he has troubles against quick/athletic players.

the bench:
blake suck
morris has the quickness and athleticism but he just not good at D.
meeks same as morris.
ebanks is ok he's probably our only hope. but i really wonder why he keeps losing minutes.

now having the players that can play good D shouldn't be much of a big deal if we at least have a good defensive coah. but the thing is we just hired...Mike Dantoni lol.

i really think we should try to fix this issue now while its still early. i think this problem will hunt us in the playoffs.

Per interpolation from the wiretap article and Ebanks decision of WVU and his "Bynum"-like spoiled brat faces on the bench at times last year, he has some issues to work through before he becomes a viable, season long option.

Ebanks can play. I think he's gotten the message. It's time for him to take backup 3 spot.
