Another humiliating loss to another bad team Sunday night had the Lakers co-captain ready to take on the whole team if his teammates don’t start getting their games — and attitudes — together.

“I’ll kick everybody’s ass in this locker room if it doesn’t happen,” Bryant said after a 113-103 loss to the Orlando Magic at Staples Center. Yes, the 6-10 Orlando Magic. “It’s the attitude you have to have. Metta (World Peace) is the same way. Dwight (Howard) has it in him as well. Even though he smiles a lot, he cares a lot about this. Come hell or high water, this has to get done.

a few more quotes in the article.

It's amazing how Kobe and Gasol never mention defense.

Of course they both suck at it these days so it's no wonder.

Everybody wants to be Skip Bayless these days and the insight into the game of basketball has really suffered because of it. Man I respect everyone's opinion but alot of people are wayyyyy off-base. Both Kobe and Metta are still above avg wing defenders but they both have older legs so their gonna funnel to their bigs Gasol and Dwight and why wouldnt you? Its alot harder to stay in front of these speedy wing players when you cant put your hands on them anymore. As long as their contesting these shooters thats all you can ask from them (Regardless if you want to admit it these guys are making shots.) I've actually been watching basketball for over 25years and I clearly remember Jordan getting torched by inferior players towards the end of his prime in Chicago (sorry MJ-oholics but its true ask Iverson, D. Stoudmire, Mitch Richmond, Reggie Miller, young Kobe even, etc) but Jordan much like Kobe was a smart defender. As bad as it sounds Kobe has to conserve energy because we need him to do everything on the offensive end until Nash gets back (And that is where the biggest problem comes IMO, Kobe is a scorer and not a faciliator.) Kobe is running the pick n roll and thinking about clearning up some space for a jumper... Nash runs the Pick n roll and thinks about making the best play for the team. We'll be ok IMO, I fully expect us to be playing our best basketball come January. Roles will be defined and players will be used to playing with each other. And I'm not bashing anyone in particular fellas just the issue I see where people are over-analyzing things.

1) Kobe needs to trust his teammates more (The talent is on the roster)
2) Pau needs to be moved back to the focal point of the post (Dwight on the weakside cleanup and easier finish at the rim, also makes it harder to foul him)
3) Dwight needs to make 60% of his free throws no excuses
4) Nash needs to get healthy

I still believe in our team fellas

Kobe, MWP, and D12 are all alpha, no doubts there.

This team just needs to find more identity and hit shots when they get their looks from Kobe.
