Gasol Trade Value

Post#1 » by 702Celtics » Mon Dec 10, 2012 8:33 am

Just wanted to get your guys take on Gasol's worth; what kind of players do you expect the Lakers to get in return or what player/s you would want.

Enough to get Green/Bass/Bradley/Lee from your team.

2 bad knees and 2 bad years left on his contract. Who wants to add just under 40 million to there cap. Not a lot of teams. Raps and t-pups have been rumored, but not sure it they would do with out a 3rd team to help out.

I'll also send em Blake/Duhon/Ebanks

PG: Nash/Bradley
SG: Kobe/Lee
SF: Metta/Green
PF: Bass/Jamison
C: Howard/Hill

Not bad for me.

How about Bass, Sullinger, Fab Melo, an unprotected first rounder and second rounder?

Nope. Contract won't even match to start with.

Replace Green with Sully think it would work. You can send a little cash too. No first round pick though just two second rounders 8-)

1. 2nd tier borderline all-star or better ie. monta ellis, rudy gay
2. 40+% 3pt stretch 4, or at least a 4 that has an absolutely wet jumper

^^^^^^^I actually meant to say Celtics can send cash to match salaries. Other than that, trading for that contract at that age with those knees.... what are you expecting? Marc Gasol?

So you are serious about trading Gasol for Bass/Sullinger/Melo plus 2nd rounders? GTFO!

No offense but you really need to read posts carefully. Every post I make you leave out something I said or turn it into something else. To quote myself from above "How about Bass, Sullinger, Fab Melo, an unprotected first rounder and second rounder? Then I realized the salary problem so I substituted Green for Sullinger and took away the first rounder and added another second rounder. Oh and by the way would have to think long and hard about that trade as it is

You serious man?

"Replace Green with Sully" is DIFFERENT to "Substituted Green for Sullinger".
Check your post before you click submit.

^^^ If you are reading my posts you would know what I meant it was a typo. Sully was already in the trade so obviously I meant replace Sully with Green    Ever had a typo? Usually I am able to infer what someone is saying by reading each post they make carefully - even if there is a typo. Congrats though you found a typo and apparently jumped all over it without looking back to my original post.

So, you are telling me that I need to read you're post "carefully" and now you are saying it's a typo? Nice way of calling me out. And oh, NO OFFENSE -- read your post carefully before you hit submit.

Read the posts in order. Pretty sure that is how it works and probably the best way to understand what people are talking about. You can take any quote out of context and distort it. Read the posts IN ORDER carefully and and it would greatly help your overall understanding of what someone is trying to write. Then it may not have been so confusing for you. I wanted to talk some basketball with some other fans and I've had to explain a pretty basic post about 30 times. Never have had this type of experience on the board before on any other teams forum (not judging any other Lakers fans BTW). Have a feeling though you just want to keep going with this so respond however you like. Done with this pointless back and forth YAWN.

You really need a special treatment huh? Okay, man. The next time I see you in a thread, I'll read the whole thing before I post something. Here in Lakers forum, it's supposed to be automatic. But for you, I'll do that.

This isn't going well... Plus we've rehashed the **** out of this already... I suggest you read through the Pau Gasol bandwagon thread...
