Chances of LBJ or DWade to Lakers 2014?!?

Post#1 » by billy_21 » Thu Dec 20, 2012 2:04 am

Hey guys, just wanted to gauge the possibility of LBJ or Dwade to the lakers in 2014?

obviously LBJ would be #1 choice to put aside Dwight.. but if LBJ resigns with the Heat and they offload Dwade would we reload with our current core move MWP to come off the bench and insert Dwade into the 2 spot with a starting line-up of:

Nash
Dwade
Kobe (if he doesn't retire)
Gasol
Dwight

could be unrealistic cause i'm unsure as to what type of contracts kobe, gasol would have to sign to make it work.

i'm still very high making a move for J-Smith this offseason if he doesn't re-sign with the hawks that would be great in the system we have atm

really?

I doubt the Lakers would even want Wade

As for LBJ... if he doesn't win another chip in the next 2 years i say 25%

If he wins 1 it is basically ZERO chance

Why did you put Dwade as a option?Dwade is already on the decline he want even be a star 2years from now.

I rather have Chris Bosh over Wade at this point, but I say Lebron would be a longshot because I don't think he wants to leave another team and have more people hate him in Miami.

dwade can't even hit a consistent jumper, apparently by heat fans he's been better than kobe for 4 years now

can't sign lebron, it'll ruin the 2015 plan when rondo and klove team up with howard.

been looking at dwade's stats coming back from injury.. he has been some what inconsistent due to the mins his been logging. He has been efficient but not sure how long that will hold up for, if both LBJ & Dwade are out of the question who would we be targetting to re-load when our current big contracts come off the books ?

only reason i bring this up is just watching the start to our season has taken me back to 05-06 days where we were just out right horrible outside of kobe. i dont want to get to 2014 and have dwight, nash on the books with a bunch of scrubs & a sub-par record... i'm sure mitch wont let that happen, but want to see what everyones thoughts are..

Not to be overly harsh, but Wade is in decline and the last thing we need is a washed up slasher which is what he'll be in 2014. We're going to be looking to surround Howard with another superstar and I can't imagine the franchise bringing in an over-the-hill player.

I don't see LeBron coming over either although he'll be available. I suppose that if the Heat don't keep winning then he may consider it but it seems like a real long shot.

Whoa whoa whoa. No. 2012-13 is nowhere near 2005-06.

Let's just stop that train of thought immediately.
There is only (D12 +) Nash on the books in 2014. We're beautifully positioned for a free agency bonanza.

This is largely the result of Jim Buss' planning. This, imo, is his #1 move. His #2 was pressing Mitch to call Nash's agent.

Again I ask why would we want a 32yr old declining sg Dwayne Wade?

You really expect the Lakers to offer Wade a max deal when he has a history of injuries and will be 32 in 2014?

You should replace Wade with Rudy Gay.

sorry guys didn't really explain myself very well lol..

if Dwade is in heavy decline and depending on the type of $$ he would be looking at i thought maybe he would be something we could look at on the cheap, otherwise someone like a Rudy would work but i doubt Grizz let Rudy go to LA. Maybe someone like Paul George could work next to Dwight.

there is also some interesting PGs available at that time... Kyrie, J Wall.. would we make a run at up and coming guards as well..

If these guys fail to make it the finals this year, Nash needs to retire.

Can you imagine how old a lineup of Nash, Kobe, Wade, Pau will be in 2014 and beyond? We need to get younger ASAP. Wade isn't an option and nothing tells me Lebron is leaving Miami.

I openly said you guys had no shot at getting both Dwight & Nash and you guys actually got them.

You guys are probably gonna end up with both lmao.

You'd have to be stupid to not want Lebron on the lakes in 2014, but you'd have to be equally stupid to want Wade on the lakers in 2014. That's how i feel on this subject.
