as much as i like are 5 game win streak, the only negative are the heavy minutes being played.. we have bench full of nobodies. much so mike d has gone to a 7 man rotation. that'll be coo if we wasn't one of the oldest team in the league. im not saying be POP an send all your starters home on a national televised gameday but we really need to develop a bench. if not its gonna be quick playoff exit becuz of tired burned out legs.

We might have to win 2/3 of our remaining games to even make the 8th seed in the west. There's no point in resting starters unless the games are sealed.

The thing is this team has enough top heavy talent to where one or two of Howard, Gasol, Kobe or Nash should be on the floor at all times.
I don't like that he stat both Kobe and Nash out at times yesterday.
Kobe isn't going to complain either but I wish he would. He's playing prime Iverson type of minutes. He'll will eventually burn out or worse if this continues. I think we can still win games and not have Kobe play 43 minutes a night.

i totally get why mike d is doing this. in short term we gotta ride the wave an build off are success. but in long term. jun july how much are we gonna have left to really compete to make that playoff push. ive notice other teams are recalling Dleague players. its 2 i wouldn't mind having on the squad right now an that's DJO who is avg 22 5 an 5 a game an CHRIS WRIGHT a young athletic small forward who hustle an play defense a young gerald wallace . develop these players add them to what we already have an we can compete wit anybody.

62% should get it done for us. That would put us at 45 wins. Two years ago 46 wins got Memphis into the playoffs at a time when the EC was horrible and had tons of trouble beating WC teams. The EC is better now which should lower the overall number of wins for WC teams. (in theory anyway)
For us to win 45 games we'd need to win 31 out of our next 54 games. 31-23 the rest of the way out should be enough to secure us a playoff spot. If we can't win at that rate the rest of the way we probably don't deserve to be in the playoffs anyway. Needless to say we must stay healthy because our margin for error is shrinking quickly.
