Sign Kenyon Martin
Fortunately, Lakers have Earl Clark now.

I would be shocked if we don't sign Kmart at this point.
This also means it is less likely we trade Gasol.

Kmart, Birdman, hell maybe even Oden...
But honestly, with Hill Dwight and Pau out... And MWP injured, the starting lineup doesn't matter a whole hell of a lot...
Wins are going to be few and flukes.

People may laugh but I'd do it for the hell of it. Greg is still 7 feet....a large 7 footer, dude was the only one who could man up with Drew as far as size and weight.

Don't we get an injury exception for Hill?

The only chance we get Oden if he's taking the minimum
If we wants more guaranteed money,he'll sign somewhere else...even with his injury past,I imagine some crappy team throws some money at him

Let's face it Oden or Martin won't do anything to help this a team out at this point of the season.

Hill needs a second opinion. I fear it will be the same. Not sure what a injury exception will do. Not sure how that works when they are so far over the cap. But a big is needed and Greg O is not wanted...

Oden is an injury risk obviously, but when he was on the court he was one of the best bigs in the league. Dude was talented as ****, I would love to give him a shot if he took the minimum. High chance of him breaking down, but for the min, he would be low risk and very high reward

agreed, there is no reason to overlook him.
im big fan of him, his impact on the court was really amazing, his presence really there.

To everybody wanting Oden he is just looking a team for rehab and wouldn't play for certain in this season.
But I also think we should pickup Martin. It isn't like we can get worse and there is also an option to drop him.

Oden is not going to help this team, and if we signed him it would only guarantee that Pau continues playing more PF which is the last thing we want.
Both Pau and Howard are coming back soon from injury anyway so if anything we should be looking to beef up our weakness at SF (???) or backup SG (West, Raja).

from the OKC game, I see Clark can work well with anyone. he moves well without the ball, has decent handles, creates mismatches against opposing bigs, and has a nice mid range J. I think it's ok to start him at 4 and move Metta back to the bench. he looked like the same Metta earlier in the season.
Howard, Clark, Ebanks, Kobe, Nash
Kobe can't handle the likes of Lebron, Melo, and Durant for long stretches and we can't expect him to beast offensively. personally, I'd like to see Mike experiment with Ebanks at the 3 and see if Clark's energy and hustle can rub on him.
Pau as the back up 5 makes sense as almost everyone pointed out numerous of times already. Jamison isn't a 3 pt specialist, but he moves well without the ball as we've seen from the previous game. even a tandem of Duhon and Jamison PnR could work.
Gasol/Sacre, Gasol/Jamison, MWP, Meeks/Bryant, Duhon/Nash. just play with the combinations for the bench.
solves the problem with Dwight and Pau both wanting the ball at the block. they will be surrounded with outside shooters and active cutters. down the stretch, just go with the 5 who are playing well with each other. I'm done with the Dwight-Pau experiment and Metta over thinking/doing things.
