Under princeton offense...

Do you guys think our record would have been better if Mike Brown was still here and we were running the "Princeton Offense"? Looking back at it, I think this team would have perfected it by now and both Pau/dwight would be doing way better than they currently are.

Ex. The team completely collapsed near the end of the Miami game a few days ago because they were too focused on getting Howard the ball (leading to turnovers), I doubt this would have happened if an offense was actually in play. :(

Even thou I didnt think the princeton was a great fit, DAntoni Offense is even a worse fit. I think the team would of been a lot more better defensively and more efficient offensively. Brown may not have gotten them to play to their potential but the Lakers wouldnt be a disaster as it is now.

Coaching is a lot more than just what offense a team is running. Brown lacked in a lot of the mental areas as a coach. For example criticizing Drew last season during parts of the season, then saying things about Kobe only to retract them the next day. How do you think the others on the team looked at that stuff ? And people wonder when the locker room was lost. It happened way before what happened this season.

Like I said a lot more goes into it.

Yeah but numbers don't lie, 3rd seed with 41-25 in a lockout season with no training camp.

As well as an 0-8 preseason and 1-4 regular season start.

Comparing mike brown to mike d'antoni is like comparing Steve Blake to Chris Duhon and which one is the worst player on the team, its an irrelevant argument because they all suck.

All I know is this team with Phil as the head coach wouldn't be in panic mode desperately fighting for an 8th seed in the playoffs.

I think people are underestimating the Princeton offense if they think that it can be perfected in less than a full season.

i look at 41-25 and wonder how the f*ck we went 1-12 early in the season

i'm going to say the obvious and that its nash's and dwight's faults, because even though the princeton looked wonky, it was our defense that was absolutely (and still is) horrible

I agree with the first and last sentences. Otherwise I don't see one much better than the other in managing the talent. However, Brown's system was perhaps better for the team makeup.

Our offense was ranked around 5th in the league when we ran the Princeton. I preferred the Princeton to the horrible mess that D'Antoni runs. The Princeton is similar to the triangle, and we all know of the success the triangle brought us.
