SportsCenter: Lakers center Dwight Howard has been cleared to play after aggravating his injured right shoulder Wednesday night

I think the injury got lost in some of the hyperbole... I'm glad it was nothing serious.

Not trying to put fuel on the fire....but was I the only person who thought Dwight kind of milked the injury? Only my opinion, which means nothing, but I kind of think Dwight was hoping he would be hurt so he wouldn't risk being traded. Call BS. That is fine. Just my opinion.

Dwight needs to not think about what happens outside of his control.. just go out there and play hard leave everything on the floor.. why think about issues that are out of your control!! More pressing issues he should be focusing on.

No excuses. Win.

Seriously, I felt like the doctor must have said "Dwight, you're fine, quit being such a drama queen and win the game".

Magic fans cried about it for 8 years, the leagues response was to give Howard more techs.

Part of me wonders if he didn't just feel a little pain last night and used it as an excuse to just mail it in last night.

Definitely legit to ask. But on the other hand maybe he got scared and didn't want to mess it up for fear of missing a lot of games. Kinda of a double negative with no clear answer to either.

We in Orlando said this time and time and time again when he was here. No one listened to us and they all told us to quit whining because Dwight had an unfair advantage anyway. Sucks, does it not?

Dwight played pretty much every game in Orlando until the back issue. It would be hard to say that based on the history.

Ya it kind of does. I don't expect special treatment for the guy in the way a harden, Durant or LeBron get special treatment but the league is (Please Use More Appropriate Word) for letting him get pounded on the way he does. The worst is when opponents put an arm on his back and with the off arm take a wild whack at him. Then when he gets just the bit tangled up trying to battle somebody back they call him for a tech... It's a joke!

If he's going to get a tech anyway he may as well get one for a legit reason. He needs to pound back harder than he's getting pounded on or it won't stop. The problem is he's not really a fighter and opposing teams take advantage of this.

So yes if this same thing was going on while Dwight was in Orlando then fans there had a legit beef imho.

He makes this big spectacle last game goes into the locker room and doesn't come out. All after getting chewed out by Kobe and starting the season over again. The guy is a wuss and a faker. Anyone who thinks otherwise also is dumb enough to think Mani Te'o was a victim.

I think Dwight knows he is playing bad. You can't fault him because he isn't as injured. Maybe his injury is the reason why he gets the ball stripped so easily? Not sure, but Dwight has to play within his means in regards to the injury. I think a healthy Dwight is perfectly capable of being a 30-12 guy. But with this Dwight I just want a 20-12 guy.
