The Lakers are a mess.
I had a Laker that shall remain nameless tell me in Memphis last week that being a Laker isn’t as pretty as it seems from the outside and the dysfunction that you see on the floor is like that all over the team. That is not really news, the Lakers have been one of the best teams at winning despite their internal dysfunctions as an organization. I just think without Phil Jackson’s amazing ability to keep the guys focused on the bigger picture, the chaos that follows the Lakers has consumed what I would say is a weaker willed team than we’ve ever seen wear a Laker jersey.
It’s bad and its a shame, because this team on paper should be so much better than they are, but I have had executive after executive caution that NBA games are never won on paper. In this case its true.
We have a player who is leaking information left and right. I have little doubt that it's the same player who gave the info about the meeting. Has to be a new player, as well, since they said "Being a Laker isn't as pretty as it seems."
If you ask me, I'd say Jamison because he talked about how it was his dream to be a Laker, etc. Also just seems like the talkative type who would love to gossip.

It would have to be Dwight. Biggest snake/scum in the league. Part of me is hoping he isn't playing in a Lakers jersey next season.

im in the same boat, cant stand that guy, his facial expressions when he doesnt get the ball are just cancerous

i don't know how you guys are figuring it's howard, ebanks, or jamison. whoever it is had to have been here when phil coached, none of those three were here while phil was here. at least i don't think ebanks was.

The Phil Jackson part was supposition by the author. It wasn't a quote. So it doesn't have to be someone who was here when PJ was here.

i really don't think its howard. i don't think he'd be the one to leak out the story that a teammate called over kobe to have d12 tell him to his face that he was shooting too much. i also don't think he'd be the one to leak out the clear-the-air meeting details where kobe asked d12 straight up if he disliked playing with him.

Far less interested in who said this as much as what was said. Another allegation that the Lakers are a poorly-run team with no direction.

If you followed that "Hoopsworld" site for the last couple of years you would know that Kyler has a relationship with Dwight Howard. Some of the info I'm pretty sure he gets from him or his camp but also wouldn't surprise me if there were some other new lakers who we're leaking info. If you think about it besides Kobe, Metta and Gasol the rest of these guys haven't won a championship and besides Nash dont even understand the meaning of sacrifice

Howard sayed no more negativity a week ago.. Also, I doubt he would say this, especially in his contract year.
Pau has been brutually honest to a default which isn't smart for his organization. He needs to be caution of what he puts out to the media. I don't think it is Pau though, he stated he wanted to be a Laker.
I would say Nashster
Could be Nash, because he is good friend with Dan Tony and has sucess with him before with the suns and believes in him, and probably can't understand why the team won't buy in and be dysfunctional

Nash's too classy to comment... It's gotta be one of the bench guys... Ebanks, Morris... That's all I can think of, unless it is Dwight.
