Nash or Fisher?

Post#1 » by KevinUrb » Sat Feb 2, 2013 1:23 am

This may be a little too premature to judge, but from what you've seen, who do you feel is better overall for us? Nash overall is lightyears ahead of Fisher but as for overall fit I am beginning to feel Fisher's intangibles were really underated and he is a better fit for this team.

It's funny for me to even be saying this because I for one, despite all of Fisher's heroics for us, HATED his play, especially during his final year with us. Everytime Fisher went for a lay-up I would cringe, and everytime he got blown by I'd curse. But what I do miss was his ability to body up pointguards on defense and take the charge, and I love his ability to be Kobe's bail out three point option, which for one I feel was his best attribute for this team. Even though he wasn't consistant, his threes were timely. Another underated thing he brought was the ability to deliver the ball to a player in the post.

Now that I'm seeing Nash, also easily being blown by and torched by everyone he guards, and his role for the team being diminished to that of a spot up 3 point shooter... The question is who would you rather have at this point.

Nobody thinks Fisher is a viable alternative to Nash... Nobody.
