Jordan Hill could play again this season afterall.

I happened to be looking at Jordan Hill's player page on ESPN.com and it says that there is a possibility that Hill could play if the Lakers make the playoffs. It also indicates that it could take a deep run, but this could be huge if we are able to make the playoffs. I actually think our team could make some noise in the playoffs if Hill can somehow return near the level that he was playing before the injury. That would allow Clark to log more minutes at SF (and therefore less MWP, which is beginning to look like a good thing), and actually give us a very deep rotation at the 4/5 with Howard, Gasol, Clark, Jamison, and Hill.

Wouldn't he be out of shape and rusty?

I'm sure hill keeps himself in shapes w conditionig and weight training. He can get into basketball shape in a week he is young.

I have no problem with him sitting out for the rest of the year to insure he regains his health and doesn't reinjure anything. Honestly I don't think he would have an impact at that point of the year anyways.

Hill just needs to worry about coming back hard next year.

What I would be worried about now is going at least 3:1 from here on out (.750), and prepping Pau's comeback. If he could gracefully lead the bench with 10/7/4, then I'd definitely like our chances.

Translation: Jordan Hill won't play this season...

No way he's out that long and has any impact in the post season.

Jordan Hill is always a welcome sight as long as it doesn't risk further injury.

i wouldn't hold my breath:

@KevinDing

It's not over for sure for Jordan Hill (hip) this season, btw. If Lakers are still playing in June (!), @jordanchill43 might be there.

june = nba finals

Jordan Hill needs to just recover fully and come back really strong next season.

Lets bring in the other Jordan .
Jerome Jordan lol.

Looks like he needs some tutelage
but is a legit 7'0 with a 7'6 wingspan.

A Good legit backup big man who can protect the rim off the bench.
Something for damn sure Clark and Jamison is not built for while
their backing up Dwight at the center position.
Same song for Sacre.

His game isn't exactly technical finesse here. He gets offensive boards and huste plays. That kind of game can come back from injury a little quicker, in the sense of fitting in to the team game, and not needing to be 100% to still be effective.

by what would jack bauer do?
I'd still be worried about Jhill being out of shape if he a came back with a week left in the regular season, but with a mid playoff return he'd hurt us even more. Donte Greene transformed himself into a nice big man on both ends since coming into the league as a sg. I'd rather we sign a big like that. Good shooting touch, quick for a big, would complement dwight well in the future, and still has good upside.

Jordan Hill's return would be a huge blessing for us. Guy is productive and plays hard, so that gives us one center with heart.

I don't think it messes anything up. 95% of Jordan Hill's touches are based on effort and hitting the offensive glass, not plays set up for him.

Hopefully we know if we're in or out as Hill and Pau start to think about coming back. Don't want to rush them and risk further injury in my opinion.

If we can make a deep run in the playoffs (which is very unlikely but it's looking to become a possibility if we dont come across DEN) I'd welcome him back with open arms. Otherwise I wouldn't want him to risk further injury. He never complains and seems very commited to our team. Earlier on we really needed more guys with his and Earl's attitude; in some ways Dr. Buss' passing seriously helped our players (Dwight im looking at you) get their heads together.
