Kob' IS clutch!

Sorry for another KB thread, but I just had to. IIRC Kobe hit 4! gamewinners in previous 5 wins for the Lakers. One against Mavs, one against Hawks, one against Hornets and now one against Raps (and I'm not counting game-tying three pointer). He also had two GW earlier this season against Pistons and Warriors. I don't wanna go with this on GB cuz trolls and turds would try to terrorize me with some BS statistics. Let me tell you smthing. It's the total number that counts.

had to look up the mavs game because i didn't watch that game, but kobe did hit the long 2 to put LA up by 4...
this stretch has to be up their with kobe's 2010 stretch where he hit 6 buzzer beaters or something like that

No doubt about that BUT... do yourself a favor Kobe stop turning the ball over and play some defense and we wouldn't need these clutch performances to beat scrub teams

Comments like this just prove how undervalued the guy is. Guess u didn't notice how he clamped up Derozen in that 4th quarter and overtime when he switched over on him. This is a tired and OVERBLOWN defense topic. The guy has over 50,000mins played on his body, he is trying out there. You guys just love finger pointing Kobe for the 2-3 miscues every game but ignore the SAME EXACT MISCUES that EVERY single elite wing player in the game makes. Watch a Clipper game and how Chris Paul gets smoked and loses his man ALOT. Just tells me most of you havent been long time Laker fans, if your view is what you stated then Magic would've drove you CRAZY (Kobe isnt as near as bad as Magic was on defense). If you haven't figured it out yet Kobe at this stage of his career can defend the best player on the other team for maybe a quarter....Maybe even for 1 full playoff game. The guy is required to do SOOOOOOO much on the other end of the court and we play in a face pace offense that he tries to catch his wind and loses his man at times. The turnovers are happening because he's trying to force feed Dwight the ball so he can get his touches and in reality do the job that we thought Nash would do this season. Its just a classic case of Kobe and Laker haters on realgm trying to disguise themselves as fans. UNREAL

I'm too bored to check for the whole season....but since the ASB ,here is how Kobe fared in the clutch(I took the most common rule used in this regard, last 5 mins of the game-and OT-,team up or down 5 )...of course,it's a pretty random rule but most guys/sites use it when determining "clutch" play
We had 9 games since the ASB,4 didn't include any "clutch" time (2 blowout wins and the 2 losses)
So we have 5 games of "clutch" play:
Kobe has 50 points (10 ppg basically) ,65% FG (15-23), 80% 3P(4-5),94%FT(16-17)
So it's fair to say he has been pretty clutch,at least lately

That Henry Abbot argument was figured out long ago. Most people don't understand that you can crunch #'s to support any argument you make. Its gotten so bad that people question even what they visually see from the eyes. Its unreal smh

Laker Hater here due to Dwight. I got to say this has been the best 2 game performance I have ever seen. Props to Kobe but it takes all of that for them to win and it's not possible to keep up. Got to say it is awesome to watch someone do what he just did.

He played great on offense, even though 9 turnovers is just too much. 9 turnovers!!!

you must be the only person that thinks kobe can do no wrong, all im saying is we need to put more emphasis on defense to start the game so scrubs dont lite us up from the perimeter. opposing players take open shots get in a rhythm then its harder to stop them even with a hand in their face and before you know it we're down 10 or 15. look im LAKERS fan i just want my lakers to do well and it irks the **** out of me seeing us get lit from piremter day after day just put some damn effort and we wont need these heroic performances from kobe and every laker player would tell you the same

Don't take anyone seriously that says Kobe is not clutch.
This guy is the REAL MVP...regardless of how you define "most" and "valuable".

Nobody else in the league could or would take many of the shots that Kobe takes. The three he hit last night were vintage Kobe. The one from the corner gave me flashbacks to Bird's attempt in the 1987 Finals. In total, this might be one of Kobe's greatest seasons.

But u noticed Dwight played engaged basketball on both ends of the court right. No one said 9 turnovers was great or even overlooked. But what i did say was he was forcing the ball to Dwight alot and I'm fine with that cuz we want our big to feel needed and get his buckets in the paint. BTW I'm gonna defend the guys on my team that always play and give 100% on the court. I only knock the critics that don't realize just how hard it is to play this game at that transcendent level that the guy is playing at. That's why the 2-3 defensive miscues that most people wanna focus are are a joke. EVERY SINGLE wing player in the NBA makes defensive miscues every game but we want to make threads about it and focus on it like its the very reason we lose or the other teams are in the games. Face the facts here Injuries plagued us, the coaching change during the season hurt us, and defining player roles took a long time to integrate also.

he's clutch but not for the last shot. gimme nash all day long for last shots. I think must be 2 for 50 on those

Based off his last 3 seasons.. yeah.. He will get you close enough to win, but would miss the final shot.
But he's made an entire carrer hitting game winners and buzzer beaters. He still has that clutch gene in him

What about last free throw. Nash is 1/4 in the situations like last night this year
