im not sure more is "more"

clark seems to play better with more minutes and if his play drops off with fewer minutes, hill becomes that 3rd big for heavy minutes

I've harped on this subject to death but I still can't get over how many injuries we've had to deal with this year.

Earl has been a God send who's timing couldn't have been more perfect. Hopefully Pau returns in two or three weeks and is comfortable coming off the bench. At that point our bench will be Blake, Jamison, Meeks and Pau. That might be as good of a bench as there is in the league assuming Pau as anywhere near 100%. Perhaps the Clippers' bench would still be better but I can't think of any other team that would be close.

And.... If we can figure out how to get Pau and Dwight to work together we could move either Clark or Metta to the bench. I'd rather start Clark and reduce Ron Ron's minutes but I guess it depends on who we're playing.

Come back soon Pau!

that 2nd unit of Blake, Meeks, Clark, Jamison and Hill can be so deadly. I think we've seen each of those players have atleast a couple of really good games this year. consistency and time together on the floor is key though.

this is what i want too ron ron does better of the bench anyway and our lineup gets much taller which will be harder for alot of teams

The problem is you can't play all of Hill, Clark, Jamison, and Pau at the same time. Someone has to be traded. But yeah when Pau comes back, you have a 9 men roation with Pau being your 6th man, Jamison and Meeks making your 7th and 8th. That's definitely better than most teams in the league.

Clark is a free agent this summer, and he's priced himself out of the Lakers' cap capabilities, so I wouldn't go trading away whatever depth the team has just yet.

I actually think this is our best bench since the bench mob...injuries have obviously hurt us, but Clark/Hill/Jamison is a VERY solid front court rotation off the bench. Replace Pau with any one of those and it's even more impressive. I wish we had a Farmar like point guard instead of Blake, but Meeks, despite all of his issues, is by far our best shooter since 2008 Sasha. Even without Hill, our bench is solid. People bag on Jamison, but man can he make big plays offensively. He's not perfect, but people forget we had Troy Murphy getting minutes last year. Mcroberts wasn't much better either.....Meeks allows us to move Kobe to the three without having 2 point guards on the floor.

lol all of a sudden we have a bench cause were winning. what happened to all the complaining about twan/meeks/blake/softpau during our losing days. valid thread if made on day 1. Anyone who "thinks" or "i always knew or said" just cause were winning now can eat crow.

To be fair, During the offseason people were expecting big things from our bench. Then we were losing, and ofcourse our bench was playing terribly, but it's really not their fault. The rotations were weird, there were no defined roles, etc etc. No would blame our starters because we knew what they were capable of....our bench had to earn the praise, which I think they have been doing. Don't get me wrong it's not the best bench in the league or even a top bench, but it's a solid bench which would be pretty good if we didn't have injuries. And I'll gladly eat crow....anything regarding our team sucking is something I'll gladly be wrong about. If that made any sense lol..

all good bro..i didnt mean that on you perse. imo it just gets old around here whenever someone/team does good or bad and a thread develops as if the op knew it all along...best example would be that kobes D is detrimental to the lakers and our 8 man rotation is killing us thread. like you said our players/bench didnt have solid role/minutes so judging them earlier this season (without nash) is very unfair.
