Here's a link to give those who weren't around or were around during the 71-72 season for the 33 game win streak. Lately there's been a lot of talk about how the NBA was weak during that era, but you'll see the streak even then was no easy feat.

Almost all games were scored in the 120s to 150s. I wonder if Jerry buss actually made the Lakers a household name or this streak and championship already made them a name in entertainment and sports.

I was around for the streak - remember running to the library when I got off the school bus to check the paper and see if they'd won -

I always laugh at the irony to this story is the streak comes to an end at the hands of the Cap!

This is an awesome infographic comparing the runs... 11 no rest games for the Lakers including 4 back-to-back-to-back's. Flying commercial and traveling more than the Heat did in their 27 games.

And all of that matters! Not just being a Laker homer but its true. Especially the miles & the back to back to backs.

The common theme in most of those victories was Wilt. He performed a masterpiece that season before handing the torch over to Kareem. Ironically, I think Wilt's knee injury made him a better player. He could no longer do the things he could before, so he had to focus on his other tremendous skills.

The wins by double digits is likely wrong there. The total is coming up to like 35 games.
