Lakers tank next year for Wiggins or Parker?
It is unfortunate what occurred tonight, with Kobe injury. But since he will most likely not play next year should Lakers organization decide to tank seeing the draft is so strong? For a chance for Wiggins or Parker? Their organization would be set for the next 15 years .

They won't outright tank, but I have a feeling there is going to be a youth movement starting this offseason centered around Dwight and the inexperience will inevitably lead to losses piling up.

won't happen, especially if Howard is on the roster. I can't even imagine the Lakers tanking.

Kobe will play next season, and we will try to surround dwight and gasol with as much talent as we can to make the post season next season.

On purpose? No they won't.
However if D'antoni is still coaching then we'll probably be in the lottery regardless.

you never know he might get "injured" this is what spurs did with Robinson and Duncan scenarioMichael Lucky wrote:won't happen, especially if Howard is on the roster. I can't even imagine the Lakers tanking.

Re: Lakers tank next year for Wiggins or Parker?
Why are guys still trying to blow up high school players ? I've seen Wiggins play....not that impressed because half the time he's going up against guys that's not even his size. Secondly he CAN'T SHOOT from the perimeter, how the hell do you expect for him to do it against NBA level defenses ?
Yeah he'll look great at it in college because college defenses aren't as intricate as NBA defenses. Match up zones and Triangle and 2 defenses barely stop the average collage player. But NBA defense that is mostly designed to funnel you to the interior or to spots of other help will give Wiggins trouble until he's able to figure them out.
Yes Wiggins can score but other parts of his game have gaping holes in it. You think the Lakers are going to tank for an 18 year old that's still raw and he's suddenly going to be the franchises next star ?
And besides the Lakers don't tank, anybody thinking this obviously hasn't been a Laker fan for a long time.

There will a speeded up youth movement around Dwight I think Pau is now for sure going to be traded just because they need pieces just to have a depth with Kobe out also I think the Lakers will look at Kevin Martin to replace Kobe in the starting lineup until he is back and I expect Clark to be back.

We won't tank to get an unproven young player. Kobe will be back next season and we will make the playoffs as we will still have Dwight, Gasol ,and Nash. However Kobe will probably miss the start of the season and will need to have a better SG than Meeks to start in Kobe's place. Although we don't have much to offer other than the mini MLE maybe we can get someone like Martell Webster or Nick Young.

I doubt Nick Young is an option he's making 5m this season because he's young he'll probably want a contract similar to that maybe coming home can help the Lakers chances to signing him. Webster is making 1m he may be more willing to take the mini mle but it'll probably be a 2 yr contract with a player option for the second. I think the most realistic option is Kevin Martin he will take a pay cut in the summer because he isn't a 12m player plus a chance to start may push him in LAL's direction.

Myck Kabongo from Texas declared for the draft. Most mocks have him as late 1st/early 2nd. I would definitely see if I could buy a pick in that range and snag him. Have him learn under Nash for a few years and you could very well have your PG of the future.

Why tank? You have Dwight. Team currently is way too good to tank.
Kobe will be back and ready to go next year.

lol. And the only way the Lakers tank next season is if Dwight leaves, and even then Kobe is most likely coming back before the end of the year so I can't see the team winning less than 30 games.
