The New Additions

Who do you think will have the most success from the new players? Young, kaman, johnson, farmar? I think Nash and Kobe are really going to benefit the most from this. If we ever play small ball and put meeks and young together with either kobe or nash, that puts the defense at a bad spot, you double kobe and you have two shooters on the floor.Nash penetrates and kicks it out. I think we have a chance of getting 6-8 seed.If no serious injuries occur, the lakers could be a surprise next season.

Not a title contender, but solid moves to make y'all competing.

And a solid young core to resign to tempt at least one star in the 2014 offseason..

In terms of generating hype and hope with the fan base, these additions are a success. However, in terms of basketball contributions, we don't know since they haven't played for the team yet.

I think we'll be better next year then we were this year. We lost Howard, Jamison, and Clark but replaced them with Kaman, Young, Farmar, and Johnson. We needed to get younger and more athletic and we did that.

Need to stay healthy.

I agree, I would also like to add a full training camp to that.

Farmar since he will have the ball the most of the bunch. I think all of them can have their own nitch. Young can chuck without a care like JR, Farmar can push the pace like he did in 08, Wes can hustle defend and cut like Matt Barnes or Ariza, and Kaman can be a serviceable big with a jumper and body ala Longley

All of them are good pickups. Make us seem competitive whole still losing games for DAT PICK.

Kaman should benefit the most playing alongside nash and gasol. both are great passers.

the lakers may be old, but with a full training camp, health, some good riddance, and a whole lotta drive, they should be somewhere around contention.

you always have a chance if you have nash, kobe, and gasol on your team. Underdog season.

Kaman will be the best player out of that group if he can actually stay healthy.

Sorry... Couldn't help myself...

It doesn't matter who's the best right now... I'm just stoked that they all should be decent and are all excited to be Lakers.

I've heard from some people that we signed terrible players, and from other people that these are good pickups so I'm a little confused.

Kaman, Farmar, and Young were good signings for the money...
Johnson was also solid for the money but not as good as the others...

None of these guys are going to be superstars but Young and Farmar could be solid roll players for the future, and Kaman is a solid backup. Johnson has the potential to be that too, if the change of pace motivates him to get better.

All of them are low risk High Reward players who will likely help us win some games without hurting our future bottom line/plans.

Personally, I think Mitch has done a great job with the money he's had to play with.

I'm really looking forward to seeing our bench play this season, Farmar, Meeks, Young and Johnson should all be pretty good in D'antonis system since they are young and athletic.

I think farmar's gonna have the best year..he's the perfect fit for a Mike D Antoni player.

They're not horrible players, but there are reasons why they're being paid as low as they are. Most of these minimum level guys in the NBA have their strengths and weaknesses. The best thing to do is to hope that they can provide some contributions along the way. Don't expect them to be game changers.

Nick Young could've gotten more $ somewhere else. He took a pay cut because he wanted to play here

Hopefully the Lakers aren't done yet. None of these players are going to thrive in LA. If you want to see the latest tweets from players and NBA writers go to http://www.tweetslosangeles.com/lakers.

looking forward to Jordan and Nash in the backcourt - lots of talent to take the workload off Steve, if Blake sticks. Using Nash a s a shooter is a good for us
