Bynum: Never played for a city that really supports the team

Post#1 » by dockingsched » Wed Jul 24, 2013 5:05 pm

The man’s commitment level appeared as wobbly as his broken down knees. But that didn’t stop Andrew Bynum from leveling one indirect dig at Lakers fans.

Bynum’s set to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers this season, and his enthusiasm apparently goes beyond inking a two-year, $24 million deal after missing all of last year with the Philadelphia 76ers because of persisting knee issues.

“I haven’t had an opportunity to play for a city that really stands up and really supports the team,” Bynum told Fox Sports Cleveland. “I’m super excited and I can’t wait to see what it’s like.”

Yeah, he's a douche, but from a players perspective I can see hating a lot of these bandwagon/spoiled fans.

(It's also a dig at Philly, who is infamous.)

To be fair, he did not really "PLAY" in Philly so this is pretty much one of his digs at the Lakers franchise and fans.

I'm sure he's more so talking about the fans not supporting him.

You mean the same fanbase that wanked itself silly over that one dunk on Shaq and made 10 minute highlight reels off 30 game seasons? Lets see how much the Cavs fans embrace him.

He's probably talking about how the lower level doesn't stand up or cheer loud like other places. Staples got too many celebs that need to keep their "image".

IDK if that's who he's talking about, but THIS. IMO that Dallas series our Staples fans were embarrassing. That team was struggling with confidence and we were just a brick wall of silence.

he could have used a better choice of words but I think he's talking about how ridiculously critical we are as a fan base towards the team compared to some smaller market teams.

I think those that look and say we lost the Dwight trade never look at the big picture. We lost the best player in the trade obviously, but just look what we would've given a max extension to if we hadn't done it. I mean just look at it:

Look at his face, he doesn't even give a ****. Just like in basketball.

Who cares what he says?hes a guy who has only played the full 82 game season 1 time, besides that they're all around 20,30,50 games..I personally think it makes him look like an idiot, and thief for practicing once last year for 76ers getting hurt at that practice, then get hurt again from bowling, walk around with his ridiculous hair styles, and steal $17 million from them and ruin their season and franchise..I'm just glad he never had the chance to ruin out franchise before we dropped him off to philly..good luck if he can play more than 20-30 games Cleveland
