I actually like the move Doc. Most on here don't but of the remaining free agents out there, he's a guy that can fit Mike D system. If we do land him then we definitely need to get an enforcer at the PF position

id like the move too, a sf/pf with length that can shoot the 3 at a decent rate. probably makes more sense than lamar to be honest.

I think J.Hill will handle the enforcer stuff Lpp, and as far as Daye I like it. Long, young, athletic and has a decent stroke. He just rotted on the Pistons bench and a lack of good coaching played tricks with his confidence. We need to sign him.....hell just load up on guys that can have that stroke going that night. Even if he flakes out the next game, who knows may Nick goes berserk. These are the cards we have to play now.

I actually think the Odom move is still needed. We need Lamar defense and rebounding bad. But we're still soft in the paint as we stand right now even with Odom. Thats the one weakness I see right now with the roster besides health concerns

God, this is depressing. We are going full blown Mike D Antoni style on a flea market budget. Can we get a guy that can defend?

Likewise, his length really helps him on defense. In fact, Daye held opposing small forwards to a PER of 14.5, compared to the 15.4 he posted on offense. He also out-rebounds opposing small forwards, averaging 9.2 per 48 minutes to their 6.9.

I see Daye primarily as a 3 for us, who can play 4 in spurts. A full time backup 4 like Odom or Ivan Johnson or maybe even James Johnson is still needed.

Turiaf, Morrison, Sacre, Elias Harris, Daye...

We sure love us some Zags. If we sign Daye, I think the only 2 that haven't been a part of the Lakers organization in some capacity are Dan Dickau and John Stockton...

The numbers at the 3 are underrated, not bad at all. Excited with this move. You could get away with Shawne Williams at the 4 if Daye is at the 3.

One more step to Bye Bye Hill and Blake, alongside the return of Odom ... Daye is more of a 3/4 in the Vlad Rad make and model

Blake is the anti fish. He's missed so much time. Chicken pox, rib injury, abdomen injury, step on a spike strip, hamstring ... And his best play in 3 years was a couple months last year.

Hill has never averaged over 16mpg. He's been hurt most his career. H was hurt with a knee injury when we dealt for him and then he misses almost all last year. The fact is his per 36 means diddly because he can't log 20mins a night, let alone play most the year, LO of last year and Jamison of last year are more reliable because of sheer durability

Bring in Daye. Let Wes move to the 2 on the second unit. Start Odom and Young. Let Shawne Williams round out the bench with Farmar and Kaman

kblo i'm just not a fan of moving Jordan Hill. As of today he's our only intangible and get dirty guy on the roster. I can live with both our PF's being J.Hill and Odom. This move to me actually should put an end to the idea of bringing Trevor Ariza back (I actually liked the idea of trev coming back home)

I just can't get over him being injury prone and not being able to log minutes. To me the whole point is in theory, hill is that dirty work guy who plays hard, like Blake is the Dantoni guard, it doesn't matter though if the reality is you ant count on them to suit up historically.

To be fair its easy to kill with Daye, Wes, and Young on 2k. Hell I would run with them next to Kobe and Pau lol

if your plan is Wiggins in 2014 then Daye is the way to go... start him and let him play 35+ mpg
