Please rank these teams 1 and 2 based on who has the best combination of team chemistry, offense, defense, intangibles, and the gm's word. Everyone and anyone is welcomed to vote, you need not have a team in this contest to vote. Feel free to provide a 1-2 sentence explanation of your rankings if you wish. Remember every player is in their prime. Here are the rosters for your consideration:
Tycobb
Spoiler:
Team TyCobb
PG Jerry West "Combine a deadly jump shot, tenacious defense, obsessive perfectionism, unabashed confidence, and an uncompromising will to win, and you've got Jerry West, one of the greatest guards in NBA history."
SG Byron Scott Efficient shooter, plays passing lanes well, and great locker room presence.
SF Adrian Dantley "On the court, the athletic Dantley was as smooth an outside shooter as could be, a force on the inside with an explosive first step, and a master of psychology."
PF A.C. Green The Ironman. Great role player, solid defense, and even better makeup.
C Mychal Thompson Another High BBIQ guy. Great teammate, passer, and efficient scorer. Also great makeup.
6th man: Jim McMillian Replaced Elgin Baylor and led the Lakers to their 33-game record win streak. Was later traded for C Elmore Smith.
Head Coach: Erik Spoelstra Can manage team-first ego exceptionally well. Fits the uptempo personnel of roster.
This team is made up of some of basketball's greatest human beings. Led by Hall of Famers Jerry West and Adrian Dantley, this team will have no problem gelling as a unit nor being highly competitive. The teams' goal was to put together a group of highly successful athletes who are efficient offensively, pass the ball well, and athletic to get up and down the court. Really feel that chemistry should play a big role when it comes to winning. All great character guys.

KB89:
Spoiler:
C - Shaquille O'Neal PF - Dennis Rodman SF - Ron Artest SG - Lou Hudson PG - Charlie Scott 6th Man - Antawn Jamison Coach - Rick Carlisle
This team is loaded both on offense and defense. Let's start off with the most vital piece to the team, and that is Shaq. Shaq was an incredibly dominant force in his prime. He would be the vocal point of our offense, and shut down the lane on defense. Dennis Rodman is a perfect player to have on a team loaded with such offensive fire power. He is a rare superstar that knew where he thrived, accepted that, and gave it his all in these areas every game. His defense and rebounding skills are unmatchable, and his knack of getting in opposing players heads was an area of his game that is often over looked. The final member of my starting front court is Ron Artest, an elite defender, a good scorer, and an effective three point shooter. Artest in his prime was a shut down defender, and is absolutely a crucial piece to this team to shut down the opposing team's best perimeter player. Antawn Jamison is a spark plug off the bench, who even won 6th Man of the Year award once, so he's clearly comfortable in that role. He would help create space in the lane for Shaq, since he is an excellent stretch four. This front court has everything I feel; and would hold an advantage over any front court.
For my back court, Lou Hudson is an elite shooter, which was really needed for this team. He was a 6 time Al-Star, averaged 27, 6, and 3 in his prime, and is an overall great guy and an excellent teammate. Charlie Scott has great size for a PG at 6’5”, was a 5 time All-Star, and had career averages of 21, 5, and 4. This backcourt has a good combination of scoring, play making, shooting, and size.
Rick Carlisle has been a winner everywhere he’s gone, and has led teams to thrive at the defensive side of the ball everywhere he’s been. His game plans and coaching led to the Mavericks upsetting the Heat in the Finals. Given this roster, I know he would be able to get it to reach its full potential and help mold this team into the best in the league.

Since I understand this looks like murder on paper, and figured it'll be my 'final', I thought I'd give a little explanation as to why my team might come out on top in this matchup.
PG - Jerry West - .261 - O14.8/D1.9 SG - Byron Scott - .168 - O7.4/D3.3 SF - Adrian Dantley - .235 - O13/D1.6 PF - AC Green - .179 - O5.8/D3.5 C - Mychal Thompson - .125 - O4.5/D3.6 6th man Jim McMillian - .128 - O6.9/D1.9
Total OWS - 52.4 Total DWS - 15.8 Combined 68.2
vs.
PG - Charlie Scott - .110 - O4/D3.4 SG - Lou Hudson - .172 - O9.8/D1.3 SF - Ron Artest - .141 - O2.8/D5.2 PF - Dennis Rodman - .183 - O5.6/D7 C - Shaquille O'Neal - .283 - O11.7/D7 6th man Antawn Jamison - .183 - O8.1/D1
Total OWS - 33.9 Total DWS - 24.9 Combined 58.8
Note - Took the best combination of Win Share per 48 + total WS year for each player, the decimal number is their win share per 48.
So this is literally an offensive juggernaut vs. defensive juggernaut matchup. I knew I had to go hard on offense after all of the top centers were gone and I feel that I did that here. I tried to get those efficient and prolific shooters that can score the ball inside and out, particularly outside since the top Lakers bigs were ridiculous defensively. So with that in mind, I needed a PF and C who can get out in the open floor and run! I thought this would be a good plan of action because of my best player being an incredible leader and decision maker in Jerry West.
As for the player matchups, one of my best defenders is Scott and he'll guard Hudson who is KB's best perimeter threat. I don't need any offense from my bigs, so the spacing they'll create by hanging outside the key will minimize KB89's bigs' defensive prescence. If they play zone, I'll be knocking down outside shots like free throws. Outside of Shaq, I question KB's teams' ability to score.
I feel that I chose a great coach for my offensive strategy, one who has experience meshing elite offensive players without a dominant big.

KB89 -- Shaq would not be stopped. He'd have a 100 pound weight advantage.
They just have to control the pace and Jamison and Ron have to hit their 3's. To me, TyCobb's team definitely could win, but they'd have to stick to their gameplan and hope to scrape by.
I'll go with defense and rebounding here.

We're assuming all these guys are in their prime. In an actual 7 game series, I think Ty's team would probably win because I just think KB89's team can blow up at any time. Ejections, flagrants, etc.
I dunno.
Yeah, KB89. Defense and rebounding wins championships and playoff series, so I'm going to go with KB89.

i like ty's effort in arguing for his team, i just think he ran into a buzzsaw here with shaq just the man to take it to ty's weaker frontcourt. having artest in line to guard dantley really hurts ty too.
