I'm not gonna lie I dislike the Lakers and Kobe but I respect the hell out of him. LA just signed Xavier Henry and you guys just needed young legs. Now you have them and Mitch is doing a great job. Would you guys still be able to sign everybody you have now with Dwight on a max?

Mitch and Jim have done a HELL of a job with lil $ available this offseason. Most Lakers fans actually are gonna enjoy rooting for people who will play hard and leave it on the court. Lets now see how our core players are gonna look coming back from injuries

I don't know how singing Henry is worth celebrating. He's not been a productive NBA player so far and we've more than enough swing man depth already. We still need a starting PF. It looks like they are taking a one year shot at any previous lottery bust hoping to striker a Trevor Ariza/Earl Clark again.

How are we still signing players? Aren't we at the limit?? I assume Ryan Kelly will be dropped soon with this signing.

We can sign unguaranteed contracts I believe and have a time period to make a decision on the guys. Doc probably could explain this alot better than I did

The good thing about a low expectation year is the opportunity to add a bunch of young guys and see which one turns into something valuable.

I read an old interview from Lionel Hollins where he is compared to a Shane Battier clone. Its ok to be excited?

he's been a good 3 pt shooter the past 2 seasons.. also is a good defender. He could learn a few things from kobe. I also hope meeks doesn't get anymore Playing time unless we absolutely lack shooting/scoring.

He's a shooter who can't shoot and a defender with a 111 DRTG last season, make of it what you will. On the plus side he's only 22 and appears to have a good BBIQ, so may be a project worth taking on. Not to mention his injury history isn't stellar wither.

Don't know much about the guy, other than the fact that he was drafted 12th overall in 2010.

Xavier makes it 15 if Ryan Kelly signs.
http://www.nba.com/lakers/roster/2013Non-guaranteed contracts and over 15 limit can happen up to the pre-season but cut before the regular season. These type of signings happen every year.
http://www.latimes.com/sports/lakersnow ... z2e3nibnwXReports had recently linked Henry to the Lakers and while the terms of his contract have yet to be released, he'll make $916,099 for the upcoming season.
The Lakers recently signed small forward Shawne Williams to a partially guaranteed contract. The 6-foot-6 Henry is likely to have a similar deal, needing a strong training camp to make the team.
The Lakers now have 14 players under contract. They are also expected to sign second-round draft pick Ryan Kelly (48th overall).
The franchise will bring 16 to 20 players to training camp but can only carry 13 to 15 into the regular season.
The Lakers have also been linked to Marcus Landry, Sebastian Telfair, Nick Minnerath, Lou Amundson, Pete Mickeal and Gary Forbes.

I like a wing we have now of Kobe/Young/Johnson/Henry... To me this means more than likely Meeks is gonna be out in some deal. Now what deal we gotta see. While Meeks maybe a better shooter currently (missed alot of open 3's last season). Henry makes up for it on the other end, taller (supposely a 6'10 wingspan) and more athletic. We should be better at staying in front of some of these guards this season. Shawne Williams is also an underrated defender. Rambis should have some fun putting his defensive schemes together. I could even see Henry defending from the PG position all the way to SF

http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q78 An NBA team can have a maximum of 15 players on its roster during a season (and up to 20 during the offseason).
