“We would have had a great run,” he said when asked about Shaq. “I don’t know how many but, I know it would have never ended like it did with he and Kobe. I have a great relationship with Shaq. We would have never clashed heads like that. Two Alpha dogs going at there will always be (something going on).”

He was interviewed on the Jay Mohr Show on Foxsports radio.. Here's the interview

Love Tmac but IMO he's wrong here. I swear I remember him wanting to shake from Toronto because he wanted to get out of Vince Carter's shadow.. I never even knocked him for that, but you never know how it was playing with Shaq and his personallity until your on the same team with him... Better yet as a competitor how would he have reacted when Shaq was on record saying, "Kobe/Tmac cant win without me." Hey I realize its all opinion at this point but i didnt like this shot at Bean and I always respected prime Tmac's game.

Being friends with the guy and playing on his team since your rookie season are two different things. If they hadn't been able to win together I bet they would have been frustrated with one another.

Umm he couldn't even share a team with his own cousin?

Or is he saying he isn't an Alpha Dog? Maybe that's why he could never really lead a team...

This clown couldn't even get out of the first round of the playoffs with Yao and he's talking about "I don't know how many". Besides the fact that Shaq left on bad terms with every team he's ever played for other than the Celtics I can guarantee that Shaq and T-Mac would have clashed.

What makes T-Mac so special when Shaq has clashed with Wade, Penny, Kobe and he screwed over Nash with Shaq vs., T-Mac and Lamar must have the same dealer.

I just hate the argument that Tmac, "Never had good teammates" in Houston.. You don't win +20 games in a row with trash on your roster. Just not happening. That guy had more than enough help in Houston to get it done. But that still doesn't discount how great of a player I feel he was in his prime. Just trying to be realistic tho

If Tmac considers himself a beta, explains why he was stuck in the first round most of his career.

I'll never forget the performance that game. Look at the ball pressure he puts on Prime Steve Nash in the 4th quarter. You guys remember this game? I've never went from being so frustrated to so happy in such a short period of time

Better yet aint no Big/lil duo better than these 2 in their prime.

one of the things kobe did best that goes unotice is when he drives into the lane to shoot or pass he avoids the charge. somehow he always stop or change directions to knock that defender down...coughs odom.

Tracy is slighting himself more than Kobe. Even JVG during the 20 win game streak when asked who their leader was responded Chuck Hayes. Doc in Orlando wanted Horace grant gone because he was leading the locker room along with Ewing and Kemp.

Tracy would have gotten along with Shaq because he didnt was to lead ever. In fact him and Vince both didnt and still don't. Its why Tracy tried to team with Hill and Duncan, and then Yao.

Shaq butted heads with anyone who doesn't take ****. Van Exel and he did, got nick traded. Eddie and he did, got him traded. Elden and him bumped heads. Kobe got fed up with his ****. Malone his last year got into it with Shaq long before he hunted Mexicans aand called Shaq out for not being on shape like he promised when he took that paycut. Shaq did it with Riley too.

That said let me clear about one damn thing, they aren't winning ****. Kobe and Shaq won and they won a lot, but Kobe's numbErs out west alongside Shaqs numbers are still unprecedented. Kobe scored first option numbers and especially anhilated western powerhouses in 01, 02, and 04 to even get them to the finals. Tracy is a beta, he is not putting up Kobe's line vs the Spurs, Blazers, Suns, and Kings. Maybe he can log Kobe's 2000 numbers out west, but he's not putting up those numbers that covered for the fact out management added no depth and let talent dwindle every year of the 3 peat so Fisher became the 3rd option in 01, 02, and 03

Well yeah TMac wouldn't call Shaq on his laziness unlike Kobe did. they both rely on their talents too much.

Shaq would have walked all over Tmac...
Whether they'll admit it or not, Shaq and Kobe drove each other to the levels of success they achieved.

If I was an NBA player, I would have won the MVP 15 years straight and won a championship 15 years straight as well.

Indeed very true, the on going battle between these two pushed them to a whole new level. McGrady needs to shut up, Mr. IT FEELS GOOD TO GET THE NEXT ROUND THEN LOSE THE NEXT 3 GAMES TO THE PISTONS.

I'll put it like this if Bryant had Yao, I'm willing to bet they would've gotten 2 titles together. The dude was never on Bryant level, what he needs to do is fade into the background like the other. Bryant is still playing and at a high level. The only way Tmac got to the Finals is by jumping on the Spurs' bandwagon.....

Bryant should play that Beyoncé song for him, Bow Down ******* lol
