Most have been begging for this for the last 10 years, especially the younger crowd of fans. It was a reason they went to 2-3-2. But travel is better for teams now that they fly charter jets. But this is going to be hectic for TV and you can bank on that.

Does that mean more days in between those games 5,6,7? I got bored when they were no games in between. :(

I doubt it means more days in between games, all I know is I think it will impact the media more than the players.

And Game 5's will now loom even larger, they were always important. But to me remembering what I know from the 2-2-1-1-1, let's say the first 4 games were split...I always felt that the team winning that Game 4 had the best chance to steal Game 5 going back to the team with HCA.

Should make the finals more competitive/allow for more upsets. Hope this gets done.

I like this better. I think we might have had a chance against the pistons if it had been this way.

I'm happy their going back to the original finals form. It was to much of an advantage for the away team IMO.

Definitely an advantage for the "away" team, think back to 2008....we got cheated out of Game 2. Won Game 3, Choked off 4. Then we turn around and win Game 5, I truly thought we could win all 3 games. That Game 2 loss put tremendous pressure on us to take all 3, which we were close to doing.

The 2-3-2 definitely benefited the team getting the 3 games at home, but even with all the bitch'in guys do about the system, the team getting the 3 home games only won all 3 twice in the history of the system.

In 2001 the Lakers were the only team that had the HCA to sweep all 3 games once taking to the road.

I hear yah Doc, but in most cases the away team will steal one of the 1st 2 games in the Finals. So then go on to win at least 2 of the next 3 home games. So that'll give them 2 cracks at winning 1 single game to get the ring. Dallas did it in 2011 and the Spurs should've done it last season if it wasnt for the Ray Allen 3

I remember back when they started the 2-3-2 it was to cut down on the use of gas and to try to save money. Now with the players making 10 million or more and owners now being billionairs, not sure that would hold up any more. Will make more time traveling. Just think Lakers and Heat flying back and forth for games 5-6-7.
