"Best chemistry of any LAL team in 30 yrs"

Post#1 » by dockingsched » Mon Oct 28, 2013 1:45 am

this is a bit old, about 4 days ago, thought someone would post about it but i haven't seen it mentioned too much.

Gary Vitti said this:

[tweet]https://twitter.com/mcten/status/393216009923862528[/tweet]

I don't think anyone is surprised that the chemistry on this team is really good, specially compared to last yr, but Vitti's comment really drives the point home. Hopefully it translates into wins, but it should at least translate into a team that enjoys playing with and for each other, and thats never a bad thing.

But...but who will walk around with a stat sheet in the locker room after games now? :(

Part of it is everyone knows they'll get an opportunity with our aging core. I was hopeful a month or two ago, but with Kobe's slight setback, Nash's inability to practice, and Pau looking disappointingly decrepit, I think the odds this team turns the good vibes into wins looks increasingly suspect.

Chemistry is tested through adversity, however. We'll see how the guys feel if we lose the first few.

I thought the 2007-08 team was pretty close knit once Pau got acquired but yeah this is a very underdog team that's easy to like.

Ill have to watch them play to believe it. Usually when teams start losing the chemistry tends to go bad.

ehh i figured if we win the chip with this roster then vitti's claim would be more warranted but hell we didnt even go 8-0 this preseason.

It might be a bit too soon to say this but they have developed some great chemistry pretty quick.

far as basketball concern goes i dont think ppl bring up "chemistry" referencing how well the team gets along in the locker or off the court. i think most of us thinks chemistry refers to how well the team is playing well off each other and winning. ppl never bring up good chemistry when youre in last place. but in this case its the only thing that makes sense.

THIS!

why are people misinterpreting Vitti's comment as if he meant this team is better than showtime or that it will win the championship.

I'm just glad we have players that want to be in a Lakers jersey.

This is a bit melodramatic, I know it was locker room drama during the Shaq- Kobe days. But if it was that bad no way in hell they could last the 8 years they did.

I was thinking something along the lines of 72-10.

PG seems like he could be even better than Kobe... IMO.
