Once again our bench does their part scoring 74 points and we still lost. We cant have at LEAST 2 of these guys in the starting lineup anymore. The sample size is enough to know for the whole season Blake and Nash NEVER need to be on the court together let alone in the starting lineup. Farmar is by far our best PG on the roster and needs the bulk of the mins until Kobe comes back and then we can combine either Nash or Blake with him as spotup shooters. And more than anything Pau needs to be in the game with Jordan Hill more than ANYBODY else on the roster and that is including Kaman. Hill is at least willing to get dirty, protect the rim and hit the boards.

If our coach is gonna ride out this Nash is starting card then at least trout this starting lineup in my opinion. For DEFENSIVE reasons being the most significant

I'd rather have Farmar in there but at least he can anchor the 2nd unit with Nick Young. This season isnt lost yet but we need to focus on better defensive lineups and run FARRRRRR away from a lineup PERIOD let alone a starting lineup of Gasol, Nash, Blake.

P.S. If during tomorrows game I see Steve Blake defending James Harden then its officially time to hand the job over to Kurt Rambis for the rest of the season. Kurt not EVER pairing those 2 together alone is the reason i'd prefer it lol. And in reality this isnt all Steve Blakes fault... Its not his fault our last 2 coaches are CONTENT on playing him at the SG position primary. Difference between Brown and Mike D is Dantoni wants to start Blake at the SG position smh

Yes, you are correct. This is definitely a HUGE issue. But this issue is largely due in part because our roster is just not as talented as some people may have thought.

But not nearly as bad as some believe. We actually have one of the best benches in the NBA so far. Our bench has been pretty much carrying this team. Its unacceptable for the starters to keep putting us in such a big hole every game

There is like this big misconception regarding the seeming rigidity of the triangle. The triangle is in fact malleable enough to support any play-style or positional strength; the major options and it's counters can provide triple threat options for all 5 players. Therein lies the appeal of the triangle, everyone on the floor can impact any possession - which is reflected in the larger impact our role players had with the system in place. Just look at our 2008-2010 teams, we ran PnR's out of the pinch post or from the hand-off corner options, post-ups/isos from the pinch and strong-side triangle, e.t.c.

The limitations come from talent level of personnel (current Celtics running the triangle will not yield many wins) and the patience of the coaching staff to implement it.

Think about it, there must be a reason why pinch post(IMO GOAT play) is one of the most spammed plays in the league behind horns and the like.

Kind of agree with OP. I don't understand what MDA wants to achieve with our starting lineup. Playing fast and small ball with a starting line-up that has Nash Blake and Gasol seems to be a disaster waiting to happen. I would promote Hill to the starting 5 and stop playing a back court of Blake and Nash.

We're not going to outrun anyone, we're going to be exhausted on D and we're going to break down physically... Which is why the second unit look like stars right now...

Pau, Blake, Kobe, and probably Kaman would all be better utilized in a half court offense. Nash may just be done, but if he could adapt, we might be able to milk a year or 2 out of him. Those guys need to slow the game down and use their smarts and skills to break down opponents.

It doesn't matter what you call it, but the half court offense Kobe, Pau and Blake are most familiar with is the Triangle... And with no more Bynum or Dwight to slow it down, why not give it a shot.

While we're talking problems, have they ended the taco promotion at the Staples now or did Mike D offense totally rain on that offer?

i agree we need to have blake as our 3rd pg not a sg ever.

Its tough that Pau shoots the same amount whether he is playing next to Kobe or Blake.

Step up, carry more of the offensive load when you need to Pau. LO rubbed off on Pau permanently.

Nash. Blake, Wesley, Hill & Pau should start so we have some defense, energy & length on the unit... Farmar, Young & Kaman anchor the second unit...
