Which player(s) have impressed you the most and least? Which players need more minutes each game? Which players need more minutes on the court together? In your opinion once Kobe's back which players would fit better alongside him?

Obviously our bench has been our biggest bright spot this season so far. Also Jordan Hill recent surge has been impressive also. I can really see our $ lineup when Kobe back being

Blake
Kobe
Wes
Hill
Pau

I'd be ok with that unit finishing games. And if Pau acts up on the defensive interior we can swap him out for Kaman

Thoughts?

1. Jordan Hill: Extremely pleased about everything from his work ethic to his motor and effectiveness on both ends, especially on the glass. The man has heart and you cannot teach that. If he can avoid injuries and sustain the intensity, he's one of the best per dollar value contracts in the league after Chandler Parsons and Steph Curry.

2. Jodie Meeks: Pleasantly surprised. Improved his game so much that I like when he mixes it up by putting the ball on the floor more and even created shots for others. Shooting phenomenally well from 3 and leading the team in scoring. Has been doing a solid job on perimeter defense as well, has leadership attributes.

3. Steve Blake: Showed great leadership, added some Nash like attributes to his game and he's coming into his own as a starting point guard when given the responsibility. His 3 point shooting except from the right corner has been phenomenally good.

4. Wes Johnson: Solid defender in the perimeter and the post, great athleticism and man has hops, makes his shots on offense. He's everything we missed from the starting SF spot over the last 3 years and all that we hoped from Metta but never really got.

5. Chris Kaman:
Has a lot of prime ball left in his tank and he's been an excellent addition. His jumper looks money and thanks to him, we can roll a very effective 3 man big rotation. Pleasantly surprised by him on defense.

6. Jordan Farmar: About average and not better than expected. He started the season well in that win against Clippers but regressed since then by not showing the same intensity. Still a very good 3 point shooter and one of the best back up PGs in the league. I guess I'm being a tad harsh on him by expecting him to be a starting caliber PG. Still gives us a different dimension from Nash & Blake and provides leadership to that second unit. Would like him to develop a good chemistry with Kaman.

7. Xavier Henry: Man cooled down significantly but the talent is there and we can work with it. He really needs to improve his free throw shooting for a guy that draws contact on almost every drive.

8. Pau Gasol: Underwhelming but I'm hoping he's starting to turn it around. Played an ordinary game and still ended up with 25/12. HIs passing with Blake, Kaman and HIll is a delight to watch still. Starting with Hill has added a spring to his step and someone to be at the end of his high low passing game like he had with Odom. If we do add Odom, I expect him to show that chemistry again.

9. Steve Nash: Love the professionalism and looks to be a great mentor for Blake & Farmar with some of his headiness and skills rubbing off on them but physically that leg fracture destroyed him and sadly we might never see his best in our jersey. Still a legend.

You think its any real reason Kelly and Harris both were sent to the Dleague besides staying in game shape? They still count on the official roster so if we'd ever brought Lamar back it would still give us 16 players. I really think we're 1 more enforcer in the paint away with a healthy Kobe from being a middle of the pack team in the West.

You have to cut someone to bring LO in, barring any trades. I don't think anything is up. They're just keeping them in game shape is my guess. With the D-fenders being in LA, they can always be called up or play both leagues at the same time.

With everybody looking so bad it's easy for hill to stand out. With that said what the hell happened to pau 13 pts is all hes going to give us and while being the best player. SMDH.

As for our "$" lineup when Kobe comes back no doubt it should be Blake, Bryant, Wes, Hill, and Gasol. We all see how much of a disaster it is when both Nash and Blake start.

idk I can see us keeping Swaggy, Henry, and Farmar on the cheap. Thats a solid core for a bench rotation going forward IMO. I even now hope we can resign Meeks for about 2-3mill a year with the current year he having

Last season, I used to get really angry and cover my eyes whenever Meeks (and Metta!!) put the ball on the floor. This year, he has impressed me.

Btw, wtf happened to Pau? He seems to have completely lost his touch on those swinging hook shots and has basically turned into a jump shooting chucking no defense PF

He didnt do anything in the offseason to stay in basketball shape because of the surgery. I believe around the 2nd half of the season with Kobe back he'll get his +18ppg 10rpg like we're used to
