http://espn.go.com/blog/los-angeles/lakers/post/_/id/38173/farmar-hoping-for-quick-return"I think, I hope, I come back way ahead of schedule," Farmar told ESPNLosAngeles.com after shootaround in Oklahoma City on Friday.
Farmar had his hamstring re-evaluated this week and the ultrasound showed "healing and improvement" according to the Lakers but still had "a ways to go." Farmar said Friday that he does not feel the tear at all any more when he goes through his rehabilitation exercises, but he has yet to push it through sprinting or other basketball activities at full speed.
Could he play during the Lakers road trip which includes four games in five nights through Oklahoma City, Charlotte, Atlanta and Memphis?
"I don't think they'll let me," Farmar said, adding that the team has to be smart and consider his health for the long term. "There's still 60 games left to the season, there's a lot of basketball to be played."
Some positive news around these parts lol. Would help out alot if he would heal up and be back on the court soon. We really need a good PG in the worse way

Just be fully healthy, I wouldn't rush it. He's so key to how our bench plays.

Can't rush hamstrings. If it is a 6 week timeline.. rest him 7. Just the way hamstrings are or you're going to see it pop up again and again and effect him. Look at Michael Vick, for a recent example. The timeline was 10-14 days, came back after 21 days, re-aggravated in the first quarter. Out for another 4 weeks.

Farmar, Nash, and Blake will be out for a while still.
Here's a genius plan for Mitch and Buss: sign a PG.

Would be great to have Farmar back sooner than later to help shore up the 2nd unit.

http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/stor ... ing-injuryI don't understand why we can't just sign a free agent point guard for min until we get farmar back. Is it that detrimental to get a guy who can just spot up and play d briefly until we get farmar. dantoni's system is not that hard to pick up. run, run, and run.

I think we would do that if everything else was set with our roster... But I think we're pushing hard for a Pau trade, and I think we need the roster spot open to take back multiple players right now. If we don't trade Pau by the deadline, and our PG rotation still looks like a Walking Dead casting call, we probably will sign a FA to keep the Tank running smoothly.

We should also get a Nash update soon also. But I agree with myersia we need to sign a PG

Jordan is a fast healer and/or he rehabs extremely well. I remember in 2009 when he had a knee injury and he was expected to out eight weeks. He came back in four and was an instrumental part in his return game against San Antonio on the road.
