Welcome man... Good point on Jeter and possible compensation injuries.

I agree that Kobe proved that he can play and doesn't need to prove anything else on that front. He just needs to get his conditioning back and strength back. I think he just knew we needed him and pushed himself to contribute...
But the coaches let that go too far.
I agree though. Shut him down. There's no reason to come back to this lost season.

Agreed. All signs should point to next season and gearing up for a punchers chance then.

At most, if Kobe wants to come back for the last 20-25 games to find his legs and stat pad, that's fine with me. But I'd like to see him just rest his body. He needs to get total body synergy to avoid this happening again in the next 2 seasons.

100% correct. He came back too early, his minutes wasn't managed correctly and this season was lost anyways.

4 road games in 5 nights with steadily increasing minutes while just returning from an achilles? sigh.

This was always my point. Its not about his leadership. Its not about his past glory and past history. Its not about his greatness. ITS ALL ABOUT HIS INJURIES AT THIS AGE. This is not going to get better folks. Don't care what people say. 6 weeks. Its an injury different from his Achilles. Whatever. He is up there in years, and Father time has caught up with KOBE. All of our decisions as a franchise should be influenced by this.

Good cause Pau my be a B#@$ again and we might have a trade in the works :) Chandler etc,

Well this season might be gone with all the injury's but at least everyone should have that chemistry like they did at the start again.

No point in trading Gasol for a better player if kobe is going to be injured. Might as well wait until he becomes an expiring.

Totally, plus Pau is El Generale de Tanko

...and actually other than the Farmar/Blake injuries this team was more fun for me to watch pre Kobe, and it's clear it would be better for a fortified Kobe to have a training camp where everyone can get "what does it do" out of the way earlier than months into the season.

Kobe is a warrior and warriors do not want to sit and watch. It would be good to sit him and get him 10 months to get 100 percent, but he seems not to want to do that.
