Think I'm starting to come around to the idea that D'Antoni's play time management could be the cause for these injuries. Either this team has terrible luck or he is running players into the ground.

The tank jokes are starting to become a reality. This team is just hobbling its way to the finish line.

I think we've gotten the point that we should tank basketball gods. No more injuries please.

What is it with you and Dantoni? Everyone please refrain from blaming MDA for anything or doc will come find you  . MDA is not to blame for anything. Players are just getting injured this year. It's just a bad year. Once we get better talent MDA will take us to a championship. Everyone relax MDA is not the problem. He is the best coach we could have. I am happy we didn't get Phil Jackson. He hasn't won anything. Last year Phil would have failed like MDA. Dwight would have left because he would have hated Phil Jackson and would have walked away regardless of his issues with Kobe. Phil couldn't had made Dwight and Kobe mesh at all. Phil never got Pip and Jordan, and Kobe and Shaq to play together. Everyone just leave MDA alone. Please he is not to blame for anything. He just got dealt a bad hand. (SARCASM).

Skyhook welcome to the club bro. The sooner we rid ourselves of Dantoni the better we will be in the longrun.

At some point the F.O. either doesnt care or the ego is getting the best of it. Its obvious we need to divorce ourselves of this coach as soon as possible. Funny how we fire Mike Brown after he had us at a 3 seed in the Western Conference with Kobe, Bynum and a bad season Gasol with NO BENCH but he still gets canned after only 5 games the following season but Mike Dantoni gets a pass and his system continues to run any important player we have into the ground. I'm done with the chuck ah 3 offense already. The season is a wrap because of the 2nd Kobe injury ( he was already starting to run him into retirement also). Just let Rambis coach out the rest of the season. Its a recurring theme here and it begins with the head coach.

Maybe because he's right and blaming mda here is ridiculously stupid. What we should be doing is looking for a new medical staff.

He didn't rush back. Dantoni told TWC when he was coming back he was told play Jordan 5min spurts, 20mpg, and he went ahead and played him 30mpg until the last game where he went down.

Dantoni is a dumbass.

Its Dantoni, when every player that plays pg drops down like a bird that got shot down by the wing.

He admitted to the TWC media before Farmar returned he was told played him 5min spurts, that's 20mins a game, and he played him 30mpg anyhow. He said when Kobe came back he was told to play Kobe around 24mpg and ease him back, but Kobe played 30mpg for a stretch of 6 games in 9 nights. Nash went down, Blake went down, and X went down.

Go back last year, we finished with the 2ns best record in the whole league by over playing starters in the last 41 games. Pau went down, Metta went down, Nash went down, Dwight got hurt, Kobe tore an Achilles after going down 3 times in a game without a timeout taken and Vitti on camera livid saying take him out, Nash went back down, Blake went down, Meeks went down, and Metta went back down. Clark played with wraps and braces on his arms and legs, and Jamison finished the year playing with a wrist that needed surgery because we were essentially playing those 8 guys only

Dantoni did what he said about Lin in ny, he rode our guys like freaking secretariat.

He should be fired. And if you're not going to fire him, use your damn TWC money to steal all of Phoenix's medical staff because they are the only way his insane minute plans work.

It's not just LA, but in NY Melo, Lin, Billups, Tyson, and Amare all went down too with him at the wheel

Yeah I know and just ignore the track record Dantoni has for the last several years with running players into their basketball graves. This goes all the way back to Phoenix with Nash and his bad back, Amare and his knee, Jeremy Lin in NY, last year Kobe and his Achilles, and now Blake and Farmar this year. While I do agree Gary Vitti and the staff have been getting a pass a little to long with these players and their injuries. Just accept you guys are on the other side of the fence when it comes to Mike D. The guy was AN AWFUL hire from the beginning period. Thats not our brand of basketball. Never played to our strengths.

Do you actually watch games, look past a boxscore?

Are you inane enough to notice that Farmar hurt a calf in the preseason and was told to restrict his PT? That Farmar was still wearing a brace on his leg when Dantoni ramped up his minutes before he gave out the first time? Did you not watch Dantoni admit to the TWC media at practice he was told Farmar should only be played for 5min steetches at 20mpg and then he went out and played him 30mpg anyhow in his return?

Go back to the db or had out some citations with that ****

Alright Mr. Lucky. Using your logic. If we indeed got a new medical staff somehow next year. Then had these same issues last year would you continue to blame the medical staff? How could the medical staff be MORE RESPONSIBLE than the man who is overplaying people?! If I had time I bet I could find injuries from Phoenix and New York that was the result of a coach overplaying players. FOR THE RECORD...I like MDA. But he isn't right for our franchise if we have Kobe and I think it is clear that MDA SUCKS ASS at managing his players minutes. Keep standing up for MDA. You will disappointed in the long run.

I'm not sure what point there is to focusing on individual injuries and coming up with bombastic diatribes against those in the organization you think are to blame... Who the **** cares... It's not going to fix Farmar...

And if you think the injuries are going to continue to happen until Villian(s) A or B are fired, just do me and my patience a favor and stop following the team until you get word they're fired... Because, I may have to start handing out warnings for derailing if this finger pointing nonsense that's happening in every single freaking thread doesn't end.
That or start kicking puppies... And I like puppies.

I'm reopening this thread in good faith that further discussion will include injury updates, any bitching about MDA needs to be done in the MDA thread and not here. Any discussion on PG options will be done in the specified thread as well.

i find it hilarious that people always blame D'Antoni for every injury that happens. Is it also D'Antonis fault that famine and war exists?
