Amazing interview! I have to be honest watching that made me p*ssed the f*** off! We screwed this man over so bad. Brought back my special emotions for Jimmy Buss. We have been a joke since he left. All the posters who say well we got swept by the Mavericks in Phil's last year. We simply lost to a better team that won the NBA championship that year. Kobe was hurt. Phil was dealing with cancer. Pau was hurt. It was what it was. But at least we had a contender. Mike Brown, MDA.......come on Jimmy. Wake the f*** up! We miss you Phil. We need you Phil. Even if you are not coaching we need you make basketball decisions. Without you we will continue to grab scrubs who can shoot threes, and play small forwards at Center while continuing to state that we have to play faster while injuring more players. We NEED PHIL!

As the time continues to go by, the realistic chances of Phil coaching ever again are dwindling, and I think he's telling the truth that he's done. He may have a role in a front office, but let's be honest he's almost 70, those chances are also small as well.

Kind of like our chances of ever winning a championship without him :D

Outside of the 80s with Riley (4) we are talking about 70s, 60s, 50s. We need Phil man. Whether he is in the front office or coach. It's clear. No argument can be made. Jimmy B can't do it by himself. MDA can't do it PERIOD. Our roster is what it is. But we need to clean up a lot of sh*t this off-season and get Jimmy B "basketball related people" to help him understand how to win. Phil will do that.

At least we easily made the playoffs and got to the second round with Mike Brown. We truly became a disaster and the joke of the league the moment MDA becomes head coach.

I wouldn't put a lot into Mike Brown. I don't Mike even had an offense. Kobe basically coached that team. Bynum/Kobe and the lockout helped us win the games we did. We would have been screwed with Mike Brown last year lol. I just don't get why we didn't hire Shaw or Adleman at the time? Both made sense.

Is Slava Medvedenko the worst NBA Finals starter in history??

If Malone had not gotten hurt we would have crushed Detroit.

Shaw should've been the coach and Adleman was another I wanted too

yeah, but you should've been around here when the decision process was being made, TONS OF FOLKS ON THIS BOARD DIDNT WANT ADLEMAN, and was very very happy with Brown and wanted Brown, and of course now we ask, what has Brown done for you? or was it...

With Gasol, Howard, Bryant and Nash Aldeman would've done an even better job with the Lakers than what he did with the Kings. That's how I see it plus Howard would've looked at LA better and then we could have bring in all the player we have now to fit in the system. Farmar, Blake, Young, Johnson, Hill, Kelly and Kaman would have been nice pieces to go with at core of these four

I'm convinced people who hate d'antoni this year haven't seen what our starting roster looks like. if you can't name the lakers top 10 rotation players off the top off your head you have no right to complain about the coach. I'm not gonna lie even i can't remember the latest guys name. Ryan Kelly? LOL. Kendall Marshall? LOL. Manny harris? LMAO!

Are we supposed to be winning with these players?
