What do the Lakers do with Kendall Marshall once all the guards are back healthy?

Why does this board always get upset when new topics are made?

It gets annoying to go through threads with 15+ pages.

Nash is the full-time starter, Blake and Farmar are the backups I guess. Marshall won't sniff the court once all 3 are healthy, although I do think he's better than Blake and Farmar, and locking him up before those 2 would be a smart decision.

Have no idea why. People tend to get SUPER mad quickly on here. Not sure why . Just trying to save the poor poster before people jump on him.

get rid of Nash, just like we did with the picks we traded for him

are you referring to the PG situation OP?

was actually thinking about this the other day. I say the starter position is for Marshall or Blake since their production is better with the starting unit. Farmer complements well with the bench (that's when X and Hill were getting minutes though but I still think he'll thrive with the other players). Nash can just continue to mentor the young guns.

it's good that Blake can play the 2 so it's a split for Marshall and Farmar for me. Meeks' minutes shouldn't go down as much when they come back though since he's been the most consistent of all the guards.

Its also annoying when people make like five threads of the same topic and word them differently.

trade Blake for a 1st rounder
keep Nash and Farmar and Kendall.

I don't think the Lakers will have all guards healthy, Blake atleast won't come back till late Feb, Farmar even later, so even if Nash returns, which is a big IF, Kendall will get more than enough minutes.

Continue to have Marshall start even if the guards come back. When Farmar is healthy, he can back up Marshall. Lakers should try to shop Blake to see if they can at least get a draft pick in return for him, and Nash... Well... He needs to just retire. It is time to hang it up old man.

This statement simply isn't true anymore. If he even does come back, no chance he could play anywhere near a "full-time starter's" mintues. I disagree with your assertion that "Marshall won't sniff the court once all 3 are healthy" either. He's proven himself to be the best playmaking PG the Lakers have had in a long time. The front office aren't stupid, they realize they have found a gem. This is Blake's last year on this team anyway and we're nowhere near playoff contention. I'm sure they'd trade Blake in a heartbeat to a playoff team seeking Guard depth, and there are several.

If Blake was heathy we could have traded him for chris copeland.

or a Late first Nash needs to be handed his walking papers if anything. I don't want him here anymore, bad move....

sorry but I would keep Blake over nash.



Kendall if works hard during this season and the offseason (heard he historically did not work hard during offseason) and Farmar recovering should allow us to have a decent pg duo for next year in those two.
