"Hot Rod" Hundley starred at West Virginia and was the No. 1 pick in the 1957 NBA draft. He spent six years with the Lakers and was selected to the All-Star Game in 1960 and 1961.

Sad news LakerNation, prayers going up for him and his family ... He also worked four seasons for the Lakers with Chick Hearn as a broadcaster for us.

Sad news. I remember him subbing in for Stu as the play by play guy for a while recently. Amazing how health changes in such a short time.
