So...is it possible to have Love, Irving in Purple and Gold?

Yup..assuming we don't blow it all on Melo and Love. Maybe Melo and Love can take paycut a la Wade/LeBron and lure Kyrie who'd take a paycut to join Lakers?

Dreams...oh how beatiful they are.

Cavs are so terribly run. Generally this shouldn't even be a discussion coming off a rookie contract, but cleveland management has been so bad and Kyrie is so frustrated ( you can even see it on the court the guy has been half assed all year), that it's quite possible to see him bolt.

Imagine how much defense that team would play.

Half green post following.

We get all the defensive players and Nick Young clone for the bench. And keep Marshall. So lineup..

C - 2defensive centers that can roll to the basket
PF - Love, rebounder/defender
SF - Melo, defender
SG - defender/slasher/3&d
PG - Kyrie, Marshall

Yea, yea, yea? NO? Okay :(

No Bueno on Melo....I dont see what type of pay cut you're imagining for Melo/Love but I doubt its enough to get Irving with those 2 contracts unless Irving also takes a massive pay cut.

Call me when Kyrie decides to work on both ends of the floor. Until then, he will be an overpaid inefficient, overrated playmaker.

I don't know. Even if they're terribly run and everything sucks, it's hard for a kid who is injury prone, has never gotten any real money, just turn down some fat 80 million dollar contract extension to go somewhere else. If he got hurt like Derrick Rose or something, it could be over. He may never be able to make that much again.

People are hyping him up way too much. He's good, but IDK if I'd want him here in LA.

He will still get a guaranteed 60 million from someone else.

But I'm saying that for him to do that, he'd have to turn down an extension offer and play for an entire year and hope that he doesn't get hurt. He could have a Derrick Rose, Gilbert Arenas, Tracy McGrady, like injury and never be the same and then he'll never sniff that money.

That guy just hears something on the radio or somebodies else interview/article and then rehashes the SAME EXACT message that somebody else is already on record saying. He never reports stuff just rehashes information

Ah sheeeeeiiiiiiiiiit. Forgot that Kobe's contract is done in 2016, somehow thought it was 2015. Oh well...it's Klove, Westbrook and Durant then.

It's been reported through other channels than Lakersnation that Kyrie wants out or wants Mike Brown fired or Waiters gone or some other source of discontent. I mean, Cleveland's own radio shows and newspapers talk about the possibility of Kyrie leaving.

I said it earlier this season that Kyrie might take the one year qualifier and become unrestricted because there are enough financial and basketball and spotlight incentives to dog it through that year (i.e., DNP knee tendinitis) to get out of Cleveland.

But there's also another alternative, if Kyrie makes it seem pretty clear he's going to leave, especially if the Cavs continue to struggle, I doubt Cleveland lets another star leave for nothing. Pain of Lebron leaving was humiliating enough.

And assets like, say, Kendall Marshall and our first round pick this year would be a pretty good consolation prize.

If that's the case, then we can have a trio of Kyrie, K-Love, and Kobe by next summer. That would be the fastest contender rebuild in NBA history.
