curious if you all are interested in trading away Kobe since he is getting older and more injured.
And Try to milk off of whatever value is left behind.

I would hope to get another first round pick if possible.

I'd trade one of my balls for a 1st round pick so this is an easy yes

Don't he have a no trade clause tho?

Can't really move his contract since he takes up 25 million of the cap space and you'd definitely wouldn't be able to trade him for just draft pick without getting huge contracts back.

Having said that if I could get some decent assets back i'd definitely consider it.

Kobe for Rudy Gay and 2015 1st

Kobe for Eric Gordon and 2015 1st

Kobe for Fields/A.Johnson/Hayes 2015,2017 1st

Kobe for Jeff Green/Bass/Anthony 2015 1st

Kobe for McGee/Chandler 2015 1st

Kobe for Nelson/Afflalo/Maxiell 2015 1st

Kobe for Varejao/Bennet/Gee 2015 1st

And before you look at the impact on the court, give a thought to the business aspect from the other teams' perspective....Kobe on board means sell outs to every game on the home floor and most away games, jerseys sales, better TV deal possibly etc....lots of teams would want Kobe just for this aspect alone, even eating on his albatross contract

Didn't check if the trades work but they probably do.....every player mentioned above expires either in 2015 or 2016

Don't know about the pick situation but I'm guessing every teams has their pick

Hell, I'd trade him for Amare, Shumpert and a 2nd if NY is so inclined.

Can't smell a joke when it hits you on the behind can you?The guy has a no trade clause after all(symbolic, even if he didn't he's untouchable after what he did for the franchise),all we can do is joke..

If he's disgruntled and unwilling to accept the realities of rebuilding in the current CBA, with his contract being in the way, and with his inability to mesh well with other stars, then I think you have to consider it...

That said, we'd get almost nothing in return for him at this stage in his career and with his contract, so ask yourself this instead:
Are you interested in trading Kobe for cap space?

I think its pretty certain that he has lost touch with the realities of the CBA and thinks that if Mitch puts on the Kobe-face we can automatically make moves to become contenders. Its just a long shot that a knee injury that's taking 4 months to heal not to mention the shock effect of the achilles would let him be the player physically that he mentally thinks he can be.

If he had signed a $10 mil contract he has every right to demand Mitch to spend money and make the team a contender but you cannot be the highest paid player in the league and demand that the franchise add 3 or 4 quality starters around you to win a championship.

Simply put, hell no. Even the Kobe detractors will come around at some point next season.
