Which teams don't need a draft pick this year?

Post#1 » by aaron_gray » Sat May 17, 2014 11:31 pm

I think this could be our Serge Ibaka year. Unlike the draft last year, where the middle/late first round was dotted with combo guards busts and late blooming big men, I think there's some legit talent this year that might go in the lottery next year.

Jordan Adams, Kyle Anderson, GR III, Napier, LaQuinton Ross and Isaiah Austin would all be steals if they were taken after the 18th pick.

Looking down the list, the 2 teams that will most likely trade for their pick to fill a hole are the Grizzlies and the Clippers. Grizz lack shooting, Slippers lack big men. Just out of curiosity, does anyone think the Clippers will offer their pick for Sacre?

Phoenix has 3 picks right now possibly 4 1st round I believe and Chicago has 2, those are the only teams that I can think of that might be willing to sell or trade first rounders.

Philly has about six second round picks and I pretty sure Mitch can get one of those because he could have had one in the rumored Kaman-Turner trade, its possible but I don't see Sacre for a 1st happening though.

We don't have anything to trade so it doesn't really matter.

We could take on Boozer for the higher of the two draft picks.

Don't think we should mess with that.

No way the Clips would help us out and top of that Sacre isn't even worth a 1st anyways.

16.8 mill expiring contract, won't impact on klove chase, as long as the loot is sufficient, i'd do it

man money is money....GM don't always think the hatred way like fans do. People keep saying GM's will never trade with us again after the Pau trade and look what happened since.

1st round picks are worth significantly more than 3 mil nowadays

Hell no, what does Sacre do for them that DJ doesn't ?

I want you to tell me exactly how the Clipper need to use a big to run the table in the playoffs ?

I know the answer to this but I just want to see if guys are really understanding how the Clippers lost.

not saying i want to, but trading for boozer and chi pick and absorbing him into our capspace isnt a bad idea right? he expires, he helps us at pf, (his contract is horrible but his game isnt that bad) and we get a pick (i dunno if they have one or if they would give), and we'd have capspace next year. not bad i think

I don't want boozer and his lazy ass to get anywhere near this team. we need defense, boozer does not provide that.

would need both their 1st....Utah got 2 1st to take on Jefferson and Biendrens, their salary added up to about 19mill I think for last year, so at least their 16th pick and maybe a future pick in the 2nd rd to be considered.

We wouldn't be able to do that till July, so we would have to agree to the trade prior to the pick and have Chicago make the pick for us. I would definitely consider doing this. Is there any shot blocker types that could be available at 16?
