Dario Saric, I'm told, has let it be known he plans to go to NBA next season if drafted by Celtics or Lakers.

i really dont know much about him aside from hearing his name mentioned in various forums. for those with any knowledge of him as a player, would he be someone we'd consider drafting at 7? or is dario and his people reaching with this claim?

they reaching big time....unless he comes and works out now he shouldn't be considered at 6th or 7th by either Bos/LA. His knock includes slow footedness, lack of athleticism, lack of strength with only a somewhat reliable jumpshot who is a SF but due to his slowness will end up being a PF here. Nobody should want a player that high with those issues.

The white Lamar Odom. I wouldn't be mad if we traded down a couple of spots and ended up with him.

From what I've read this report is fabricated. Lakers and Celts were at one of his games and watched him in practice, but that was it. He never verbally implied anything about playing for just those two teams.

would definitely be worth drafting him if we had a late pick or traded down for a couple of mid/late teen 1st round picks. but to my understanding, saric wants that lottery salary. and supposedly threatened to stay in europe if he doesnt get that.

Im sure he'd find lots of sponsors coming to LA, but i dont think they factor that in when they make these sort of "threats"

If thats a legit option, id love for the lakers to pursue it. could be a gamble as some of the teams drafting late in the lottery may just pick him up to see what happens. but if he falls back to LA and we can give him a contract hed be willing to play for, excellent
