Maybe get something going with Charlotte? Nash and #7 for Biyambo, Neal, #9 and #24?

This kid has a very high potential of being the next Shannon Brown.

I think he'd be a solid pick if we can make a deal with the suns or Charlotte that gave us two picks in the first round.

Yep 100%.. Its crazy because me and MichaelLucky were both saying a couple months ago we should trade down for Phoenix 2 first rounders and nabb Lavine with one of the picks. I still feel that is a good option for us. In this era of hoops its more about athleticism and to top it off Lavine has a great handle and is awesome at breaking his man off the dribble and getting into the paint. In this NBA that is practically toooo valuable

if he's making this type ascend he wont last till 14th, based on projection he started off at 17th or something like that Bos, then he jumped to 14th to Pho, then 11th and no 9th to Cha.

So the question is do we be bold enough to draft him with the 7 pick? Personally I think this guy could be Westbrook 2.0 (His ceiling). He's an athletic freak with crazy scoring prowess. I'd say lets do it

I dont know bout that though, not if Smarts/Randle are there. If anything Cha might be a good team to trade down with. They want the guy at 7th (Randle/Smarts/Vonleh) we might not be as high on them and need more asset. Cha has 24th and maybe even throw in their early 2nd. I would feel better with Lavin at 9th than I would at 7th. Although I'm more patial to Gordon as he seems to be more well rounded game. I like Lavine too but I just think he's gona take longer to develope and I see ALOT of analyst saying Lavine is the biggest Bust/Boom prospect of anyone not in top 3, scary in a way.

Re: Zach Lavine shows 46in vertical at Lakers facility
Ding's take:
LaVine, a wannabe point guard from UCLA, is basically an athlete who can shoot. And even his effective three-point shot might have to be rebuilt because it is an unconventional two-handed form. The awe-inspiring vertical he showed Wednesday actually reveals weakness, too, because LaVine’s lack of explosive strength is why he does so much better with a run-up to his vertical than standing still.
I’m starting to rain on the parade here, but the truth is that LaVine, who recorded a 41.5” vertical at the NBA draft combine, had many, many attempts to get that 46” on the Lakers’ court. And in a comparison few will want to hear, D.J. Stephens out of the University of Memphis jumped 46” last year, went undrafted and is now playing in the Turkish Basketball League.

Would not take him in the top 10, if we want an athletic freak we should just draft Gordon.

Exactly.. I wouldn't gamble on Lavine until around #16.. He only got 21 MPG in college & put up role player numbers. Jumping high with noone around you doesn't translate to anything in the NBA. He has a long way to go before he's even ready to play in a NBA game. All hype.

Re: Zach Lavine shows 46in vertical at Lakers facility
Did you guys watch Lavine last year at UCLA? Man if you can pull up old film on the game they lost vs Florida in the tournment the guy literately BROUGHT it kinda like the same way Westbrook brought it vs Memphis and Rose that year in the tourney. I'm telling ya'll the guy has great size (combo guard IMO), scoring prowess, HUGEEEE UPSIDE (barring injuries), awesome handle, can get in the paint and can score man. I guess I've watched him enough to realize he was being held back at UCLA much like Westbrook was but in his case because of the coaches son being on the team. I personally like Gordon also because he has a huge upside and seems to want to put in the work also. He's an athlete and it seems in todays game athleticism rains supreme. But idk if Gordon is a SF more than a PF in todays game. My personal pick is Lavine if we could get him I just seen enough of the guy to see his game will translate even better on the pro level because you can't put your hands on the offensive wing player anymore on defense
